Job Description

TCA Consulting Group Inc. is seeking a Lead Product Manager to steer the end-to-end strategy and lifecycle of client solutions. This hybrid on-site role in Windsor, CT brings you into a collaborative, cross-functional environment where you’ll partner with engineering, design, documentation, marketing, and go-to-market teams to deliver market-driven software products. The position demands hands-on leadership and a proven track record of translating customer needs into high-quality solutions.

Position Objective

The Lead Product Manager is responsible for the end-to-end product strategy and execution of client solutions. This role owns product vision, roadmap, backlog, and lifecycle management, and serves as the primary product lead across engineering, design, documentation, marketing, and go-to-market teams. This position focuses on hands-on product leadership ensuring that products are competitive, customer-driven, high-quality, and aligned with client's broader business strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Offer daily product leadership, guidance, and mentorship to product managers, product owners, product evangelists, technical writers, and UX/UI partners.
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for product issues, guiding decisions with input from product, engineering, and business stakeholders.
  • Navigate tradeoffs among investment, timelines, scope, and customer value.
  • Coordinate delivery plans and development activities across cross-functional teams to deliver releases on time and within budget.
  • Contribute to both short-term and long-term strategy for market direction and product vision.
  • Support the product development lifecycle to translate customer and market needs into compelling, market-driven solutions.
  • Lead and participate in product summits, customer engagements, and focus groups, ensuring insights inform roadmaps and prioritization.
  • Lead and contribute to sales training and product knowledge initiatives for internal teams and partners such as distributors, VARs, and integrators.
  • Collaborate with marketing and commercial teams to enable product launches and promotional activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in software product management, owning products from concept through launch and lifecycle management.
  • Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization.
  • Knowledge of Agile methods (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) with hands-on collaboration with engineering teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, capable of translating complex technical concepts for technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams and individual contributors, with or without formal management responsibility.
  • Proven track record owning products through the full software development lifecycle, from concept to production and support.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills balancing customer needs, technical constraints, and business priorities.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and work independently on complex projects.
  • Experience organizing and presenting product information to internal stakeholders, customers, and partners.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Competencies

Experience, Educational Requirements and Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
