Job Description

Own and evolve Gen Digital’s shared identity and entitlement platform that multiple product teams build on across consumer brands.

Responsibilities

  • Define and own requirements for the shared identity and entitlement model, including how members, roles, and access are defined and how the structure scales.
  • Make durable platform decisions that downstream teams rely on, with an understanding that early architecture choices are difficult to reverse later.
  • Build and maintain a roadmap that balances technical feasibility, cross-team demand, and long-term extensibility.
  • Act as a connector between engineering and multiple product teams, bridging differing priorities and context.
  • Run cross-team alignment discussions, determine when to escalate versus resolve, and keep decision-making moving without needing to own every team involved.
  • Write PRDs engineering teams can execute from, minimizing the need for follow-up meetings to address edge cases.
  • Close open architectural decisions instead of deferring them for later ownership.
  • Communicate platform strategy and tradeoffs clearly to audiences spanning engineers through senior leadership.
  • Produce crisp written outputs including specs, strategy memos, and executive updates that stakeholders can read and act on.

Requirements

  • 5–8+ years of product management experience, including meaningful ownership of platform or infrastructure products such as identity, entitlements, licensing, access management, or adjacent areas; consumer feature work alone is not sufficient.
  • Strong technical fluency, including comfort reading API contracts and data models and reasoning about platform decisions with long-term consequences.
  • Proven ability to drive cross-functional alignment across teams you do not control.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, with the ability to write for both technical and non-technical audiences and present confidently to senior stakeholders.

Strongly Preferred

  • Experience building a platform capability adopted by multiple product teams or business units, not only your own.
  • Background specifically in identity, access management, or entitlement/licensing systems.
  • Experience in a multi-brand or multi-business-unit environment, navigating competing priorities across teams.

Location & Compensation

  • Location: New York, NY (onsite)
  • Salary: USD 175,000 - 200,000 per year
