Job Description

Lead Product Operations for S&P Global’s Geoscience, Engineering and Upstream Data Science software portfolio, driving operational excellence and strategic execution across product, technology, commercial, and customer success.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement operating cadence across the ~$100M+ software portfolio, including standardized development workflows, release governance, and performance frameworks
  • Build and track performance measures for executive decision-making using SaaS metrics such as ACV, ARR, NRR, churn, and feature-level ROI
  • Act as the connective tissue across Product, Engineering, Commercial, and Customer Success
  • Lead quarterly business reviews, drive accountability against portfolio OKRs, and ensure alignment between product roadmaps and go-to-market execution timelines
  • Support the transition from legacy desktop software to cloud-native SaaS by partnering with Product Management and Engineering on release velocity, usage-based pricing models, scalability, and operational readiness for launches
  • Create structured mechanisms to capture and prioritize feedback from Technical Advisors, Customer Support, and Commercial; translate insights into actionable product improvements to improve customer experience and retention
  • Operationalize product launches across global markets, aligning product positioning, pricing, and packaging strategies, and support deal qualification for expansion into underpenetrated markets
  • Drive scalable AI and advanced analytics integration across a multi-product portfolio to support data-driven product investment decisions and next-generation capabilities for subsurface professionals

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in Product Operations, Product Management, Strategy, or Business Operations
  • Proven ability to operate in enterprise software or SaaS environments with complex, cross-functional teams across Product, Engineering, and Commercial
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen, including expertise with ACV, ARR, NRR, churn analysis, and unit economics
  • Experience building operating models, executive dashboards, performance frameworks, and execution processes that drive alignment and accountability
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, including executive-level facilitation of cross-functional meetings and leadership of quarterly business reviews
  • Experience with product portfolio management and go-to-market operations, including product launches, release governance, and commercial enablement
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in energy, geoscience, or engineering software markets, including subsurface workflows such as seismic interpretation, reservoir modeling, or production optimization
  • Track record supporting desktop-to-SaaS transformations, including migration strategies, cloud-native architecture considerations, and change management for technical user bases
  • Exposure to AI/ML-enabled products, advanced analytics platforms, or data science applications in technical or scientific software environments
  • Experience working with global teams and international customers, including market expansion strategies and cross-cultural stakeholder management

Compensation

  • Anticipated base salary range: $110,000 to $149,000 per year
  • Final base salary based on geographic location, experience level, skill set, and training, licenses, and certifications
