Principal Product Manager - Atlas Logistics Robotics
Job Description
Boston Dynamics is seeking a Principal Product Manager for the Atlas Logistics Robotics team in Waltham, Massachusetts. In this role, you will define product strategy and roadmaps to deliver end-to-end logistics robotics solutions that integrate hardware, advanced AI models, and software.
Role Overview
You will partner with customers, engineering teams, and strategic partners to design, build, deploy, and launch applications that address complex automation challenges in logistics. Your work will connect market needs to practical product execution across the full product lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Develop a strategic business plan and roadmaps that support delivery of complete product solutions for customers.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration between customers and engineers to design, build, and deploy innovative Atlas applications for the logistics market.
- Support both remote and on-site prospect work to understand needs, product use cases, and how Boston Dynamics can help customers succeed.
- Perform gap and competitor analysis for current and next-generation solutions.
- Document and distill market and customer needs into product artifacts that guide internal discussions, product development, and tradeoff decisions.
- Evaluate market needs alongside technological advances to shape a cohesive, realistic product development roadmap that maximizes customer value.
- Own product lifecycle management, including customer engagement, stakeholder management, business case development, product ideation, definition, prioritization, and oversight of development and launch.
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of experience as a product manager or in a relevant industry.
- Proven ability to create a long-term product vision across diverse market needs while maintaining a clear, executable engineering roadmap.
- Proven ability to convert existing customer processes into requirements for end-to-end robotics solutions that address multiple customer problems.
- Experience identifying market gaps, unmet customer needs, and high-potential entry points.
- Extensive experience collaborating across software and hardware engineering teams, including embedded work.
- Proficiency interpreting market data, KPIs, and financial models to evaluate market attractiveness and ROI potential, and to synthesize insights into actionable recommendations.
- Comfort working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
- Exceptional drive and autonomy.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Extensive experience engaging counterparts from the warehouse floor through the C-Suite.
- Experience building products in the warehousing and fulfillment industry.
- Experience with new technology introduction.
- Experience working within the robotics industry.
Location and Travel
This role is expected to be onsite in Waltham, MA.
- Occasional domestic and international travel to customer and potential sites, up to 20 percent.
Compensation
USD 177,207 - 221,509 per year.
