Job Description
This Product Owner / Product Manager role sits within JPMorgan Chase’s Commercial & Investment Bank, applying product leadership to Insurance Operations. You will define and govern the direction of lender insurance capabilities, turning operational insight, data, and process artifacts into requirements, roadmap sequencing, controls, and measurable outcomes.
Working onsite in Fort Worth, you will partner across technology and governance stakeholders to align intent, constraints, and delivery approach while maintaining audit-ready traceability across delivered solutions.
What you’ll do
- Use structured shadowing to observe operational workflows and uncover friction points, exceptions, and control needs
- Define product vision and a sequenced roadmap for lender insurance capabilities and supporting tooling
- Translate operational insight and data into clear, testable requirements and prioritized backlog items
- Make authoritative decisions on scope, requirements, assumptions, and delivery tradeoffs to maximize outcomes
- Define workflows, controls, and audit-ready traceability expectations within delivered solutions
- Collaborate with technology and governance stakeholders to align on intent, constraints, and delivery approach
- Drive end-to-end integration thinking across platforms, vendors, and operational handoffs
- Own backlog refinement and readiness to enable releasable increments and predictable delivery
- Establish and monitor product metrics tied to quality, cycle time, and exception reduction
- Lead continuous improvement by reviewing performance, root causes, and control effectiveness
What you bring
- Demonstrated ability to build deep business understanding through structured immersion in frontline work
- Experience analyzing operational data and process artifacts to identify root causes and requirements
- Proven ability to translate operational complexity into clear requirements and defensible priorities
- Strong decision-making and ability to communicate rationale aligned to outcomes, risk posture, and feasibility
- Prior experience owning a backlog and defining outcomes in a regulated or control-focused environment
- Ability to operate effectively at the intersection of delivery, governance, controls, and auditability
- Skilled in driving clarity through ambiguity and shaping problems into actionable work
- Ability to define acceptance criteria that withstand operational scrutiny and fit the operating model
- Experience working across multiple systems and teams in integration-heavy, end-to-end workflows
- Strong stakeholder management, serving as the single source of truth for business intent and outcomes
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience partnering with risk, compliance, audit, or control functions to design traceable and testable controls
- Experience building and using product metrics to reduce exceptions and operational friction
- Experience delivering modernization in systems of record and integration-heavy landscapes
- Familiarity with scaled Agile delivery practices and regulated delivery governance
- Domain exposure to insurance operations or lender insurance processes
Compensation and benefits
The salary range for this position is USD 114,000 - 180,000 per year, based on the role, experience, skill set, and location.
