Product Manager

Cerity Partners is building an Innovation team focused on taking technology and applied AI solutions from 0-to-1 and shipping them in the real world. As the founding Product Manager, you will partner closely with the CTO and senior leadership to shape product direction, align delivery execution with business strategy, and help a growing team turn roadmaps into measurable outcomes.

This role is based in New York, NY (onsite) with a compensation range of $150,000 - $200,000 per year. You will bring a mix of product leadership, hands-on sprint execution, and cross-domain project management across the systems that support innovation.

What you will do

• Partner with the CTO and senior leadership to develop and maintain technology roadmaps aligned to business objectives and strategic initiatives.
• Lead sprint planning, refinement, and execution with a growing 10-person development team, supporting consistent delivery velocity and predictable outcomes.
• Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and development teams, translating complex requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Coordinate projects spanning multiple technology domains, including data engineering pipelines, Salesforce customizations, system integrations, and internal tooling.
• Own backlog management by prioritizing items based on business value, technical dependencies, and strategic alignment.
• Gather, analyze, and refine requirements with stakeholders to ensure delivery has business justification and measurable outcomes.
• Drive release planning and communication so stakeholders understand timelines and releases meet expectations.
• Continuously improve agile processes and practices to enhance productivity, predictability, and stakeholder satisfaction.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to define acceptance criteria and confirm delivered work meets requirements and quality standards.
• Provide regular updates to leadership and stakeholders on progress, timeline changes, and delivery milestones.

What you bring

• 7+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in a technology environment.
• Salesforce platform familiarity including Salesforce customization, development processes, and integration capabilities.
• Financial services industry experience, including wealth management, investment advisory, or related operations.
• Proven ability to manage complex, multi-domain technology projects with predictable delivery outcomes.
• Strong experience with Agile methodologies and sprint management.
• Cross-functional experience with data engineering, software development, and business operations.
• Ability to operate in ambiguity and build 0-to-1 products from first principles.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including presenting to senior leadership.
• Analytical problem-solving skills with close attention to detail.
• Experience with project management and collaboration tools, with Asana and Confluence familiarity as a plus.
• Exceptional communication and organization skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with geographically distributed teams.
