Product Manager
Job Description
Equifax is hiring an experienced Product Manager to help shape the future of the Equifax Ignite Ecosystem through product strategy, market success, and measurable business outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Lead and socialize overall Market Understanding including market analysis and industry research
- Evaluate the competitive landscape; apply competitor insights to identify and articulate high-potential opportunities
- Conduct market validation by reviewing and testing concepts with existing and prospective customers (voice of customer, customer advisory)
- Identify opportunities for strategic partnerships and own partnership development activities
- Define product requirements based on market needs, including build, buy, and partner approaches
- Facilitate discussions on the commercial model and product packaging
- Own and communicate the product vision
- Support business case development and define the product roadmap used in product strategy and planning sessions across the Product Delivery Value Stream
- Track objective attainment through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Write product development descriptions and detailed requirement definitions
- Support product releases and contribute to opportunity prioritization and product trade-offs
- Track and monitor product performance to ensure achievement of revenue and margin objectives
- Manage product offerings to ensure new capabilities address customer and market needs
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data to produce insights for product lifecycle decisions, including enhancements and sunsetting
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (including D&A and Sales) throughout the product lifecycle
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline strongly preferred; equivalent experience may be considered
- 5 to 7 years of product management or business analyst experience in a product-led organization within Technology, Financial Services, or Data & Analytics
- Demonstrated experience using Agile and/or project management methodologies
- Fundamental ability to write detailed product requirements with clear understanding of what is being built, who it is for, why it matters, and how it solves problems (ROI)
- Proven ability to organize and coordinate in a highly matrixed environment
- Understanding of delivering cloud-based products and services strongly preferred
- Product tools experience preferable: Aha, JIRA, Figma
- Design Thinking experience is a plus, including using creative and analytical approaches such as personas, empathy mapping, prototyping, and iteration models
