Job Description
The Product Manager 3 role for Indoor Air Quality at DAIKIN COMFORT TECHNOLOGIES MFG INC focuses on developing, implementing, and managing product marketing activities for an assigned product line. This position sets short- and long-term product marketing strategies and tactics, evaluates program effectiveness, and maintains a deep understanding of product features, benefits, pricing, positioning, design, and advertising.

Experience and Education
- Minimum experience: 10 years
- Education: Bachelor’s degree
- Additional education: MBA a plus
- Education preference: Preference would be in the sciences
Key Responsibilities
- Develops, implements, and manages product marketing activities to deliver optimum sales and profits for the assigned product line.
- Uses best practices in product discovery to enable engineers and manufacturing to develop products seamlessly.
- Determines short- and long-term product marketing strategies and tactics.
- Evaluates the effectiveness of programs and concepts.
- Maintains understanding of product features, benefits, pricing, positioning, design, and advertising.
- Identifies and prioritizes business opportunities using Voice of Customer and market share analysis.
- Develops business cases for new product development, including recommendations for positioning and pricing strategy aimed at lowest cost products, highest possible margins, and long-term market share.
- Manages product life cycles by establishing short- and long-range product visions.
- Develops product specifications aligned to Voice of Customer needs for targeted markets.
- Communicates product development priorities and product or project progress effectively.
- Evaluates and escalates risks in projects and products to supervisor and senior management when appropriate.
- Monitors competitive activities and products and performs continuous gap analysis across products and services.
- Applies knowledge of regulatory requirements for products.
- Contributes to product forecast development.
- Evaluates and recommends product inventory levels.
- Establishes price to market through margin analysis and competitive position assessment.
- Provides sales support for product benefits and features, including Product/Dealer Meetings.
- Performs additional projects and duties to support ongoing business needs.

- Excellent judgment and decision-making skills to lead multi-functional new product programs to market.
- Ability to apply good judgment, strong work ethic, and integrity on the job.
