Product Manager, Paradox Employee Communications
Job Description
Workday is hiring an experienced Product Manager to lead the Employee Communications roadmap for the Paradox Employee Communications team.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Paradox and Workday Product Owners, customers, and cross-functional teams (Product Marketing, GTM, and customer-facing teams) to align product goals with business outcomes and strategic goals.
- Use strategic understanding of the company big picture and competitive landscape to shape product strategy and positioning.
- Define and evolve product vision and strategy, including the technical capabilities needed to support scale.
- Define and deliver solutions that balance user requirements, technical architecture, and business impact.
- Create detailed feature specifications based on defined requirements.
- Integrate AI and agentic capabilities into products and frameworks.
- Lead product development teams through the end-to-end lifecycle: design, development, testing, and release.
- Coordinate solution design and build across multiple scrum teams in a sophisticated, distributed software environment.
- Lead deep-dive technical discussions with internal and external stakeholders.
- Drive high-value OKRs and measurable success for product teams.
- Study, learn, and iterate using measurement and insights.
- Support adoption of functionality by internal teams and customers; champion the product area within the Paradox/Workday community and at industry events.
- Define and champion feature scope, benefits, and value to internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- 3+ years of product management experience defining and delivering SaaS or cloud-based enterprise software (or equivalent experience working closely with product managers and customers).
- Proven ability to translate complex customer and market needs into clear, prioritized product requirements and successful outcomes.
- Familiarity with the Talent Management or HR Tech landscape, including industry trends and competitive behavior.
- Track record of managing strategic vision and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
- Expertise guiding partnerships with Engineering, Design, and Marketing teams to deliver features.
- Strong user empathy: proactively identify pain points and use research to improve user experience.
- Skilled in data analysis to derive actionable insights and measure product success.
- Ability to navigate trade-offs between user needs, business goals, and technical feasibility.
- Experience contributing to long-term product direction and identifying new market opportunities.
- Driven by results and motivated by impact.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

- Employee Communications provides scalable communications tooling, employee Q&A, and more using conversational, SMS-based user experiences.
- Purpose-built frontline-facing experiences support managers and employees with communication channels and access to information in the flow of work, supporting engagement and business outcomes.
- The team collaborates closely with other frontline solutions teams across Paradox and Workday.
About the Role
- Own the definition and execution of the Employee Communications roadmap.
- Shape best-in-class, mobile-first conversational experiences for frontline managers and employees post-hire.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, intuitive, and integrated into the cross-product frontline workflow.
- Participate in all aspects of the product management lifecycle.
- Build new features, evangelize improvements to internal and external customers, and focus on delivery details.
Location and Work Style
- Scottsdale, AZ (hybrid)
- Spend at least half (50%) of time each quarter in the office or in the field with customers, prospects, and partners (depending on role).
- Remote home office roles may have the opportunity to come together in offices for important moments.
Workday Pay Transparency Statement
- Primary Location: USA.AZ.Scottsdale
- Primary Location Base Pay Range: $124,000 USD - $186,000 USD
- Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $117,800 USD - $210,000 USD
