Job Description

TikTok USDS Joint Venture LLC offers an onsite opportunity in San Jose, CA that centers on experience operations within the product organization. This role partners with the operations team to optimize product workflows, monitor user experience, and drive timely bug detection and resolution. The joint venture is dedicated to safety and security for Americans, with on‑site teams enabling faster decision‑making and coordinated execution across time zones.

The base salary range for this position in San Jose is $70,304 to $151,112 per year. Total compensation may include discretionary bonuses and restricted stock units. Day‑one benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance; a 401(k) plan with company match; paid parental leave; short‑term and long‑term disability coverage; life insurance; wellbeing benefits; 10 paid holidays per year; 10 paid sick days per year; and 17 days of Paid Personal Time, prorated upon hire with tenure‑based accruals. The organization maintains an on‑site culture with a fully in‑person schedule up to five days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the product team’s primary liaison to the operations group.
  • Bring deep understanding of platform and tooling pain points faced by operations on a daily basis.
  • Offer product optimization recommendations from an operational perspective.
  • Build and sustain a data monitoring system to proactively track user experience, identify risks, and detect unusual feedback patterns.
  • Empower the team to report bugs quickly and provide data to support ongoing business optimization.
  • Regularly refine rules and strategies for user experience, including enhancing the issue management workflow from detection to reporting, assessment, resolution, and review.
  • Work closely with operations leads to ensure workflows and tooling align with bug detection and resolution goals.
  • Manage all experience operation configuration tasks, including permissions, automated notifications, automated user assignments, skill‑based routing, and maintenance of auto‑reply logic.
  • Collaborate with product management and R&D to plan pre‑launch testing with the operations team and train the operations team on new features.
  • Act as the central point for bug reporting encountered by the operations team, tracking issue lifecycle metrics and driving timely RD‑level resolutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher with more than four years of experience; strong understanding of industry development, user experience, and competitive dynamics; sharp analytical abilities.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess cases, break down complex issues, structure operational improvements, and implement effective solutions.
  • Proven track record of driving key metric improvements through process management; adept at creative problem solving and leveraging technology to enhance performance.
  • PMO or project management experience is preferred.
  • Experience working across multiple locations and time zones within global organizations.
