Job Description

The Product Operations Manager II position sits in the Content Platforms group within Disney Entertainment and ESPN Product & Technology. The role focuses on enabling content platforms products and tools, coordinating with Product Management and Engineering to sustain, enhance, and launch systems, and supporting clients as they navigate the platforms. It also leads process documentation, user trainings, release communications, and monthly metrics reporting.

Location and Compensation

Location: Glendale, CA onsite

Salary: USD 106,900 - 143,300 per year

Responsibilities

  • Act as a platform expert to assess customer requests, detect patterns and trends, and provide actionable insights to Product and Engineering to improve systems.
  • Oversee the daily work of a remote team of business analysts supporting multiple systems across varied domains.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships, respond to support inquiries, perform light troubleshooting, deliver trainings, and onboard users to new products.
  • Own communications to product end users, including feature release notes, project updates, and strategic announcements.
  • Prepare, facilitate, and present root cause analyses for critical outages to internal teams and customers.
  • Deliver periodic updates and presentations on initiatives and metrics to peers, leadership, and business partners.
  • Contribute to broader Product Operations initiatives, such as evergreen documentation, strategic communication plans, and process definitions that improve team culture.
  • Adapt to evolving business priorities to support the objectives of the Product Operations team.
  • Foster an inclusive and welcoming environment for all team members.

Requirements

  • At least three years of professional experience, ideally supporting clients in a technology or product setting.
  • Familiarity with content distribution and enterprise systems, including content, asset, and metadata management; knowledge of talent residuals or participations applications is a plus but not required.
  • Experience in defect management, acting as a bridge between Product/Engineering and end users, translating technical concepts into accessible terms.
  • Strong communication skills with a customer-service orientation, ability to engage internal and external stakeholders, and the ability to convey information accurately in writing and speech.
  • Experience producing a range of documents from operational guides to release notes and formal announcements.
  • Excellent prioritization and organizational abilities, with experience managing time-sensitive requests from multiple business partners.
  • Energetic self-starter with technical aptitude, a methodical approach to problem-solving, and persistence in solving complex issues.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, matrixed organization, managing several initiatives concurrently while balancing competing priorities.
  • Motivated by helping people, solving problems, and championing products.
