Product Operations Manager – Release Manager
Job Description
The Product Operations Manager – Release Manager at Dexcom leads the operational cadence for patient-facing mobile application releases. This role coordinates cross-functional execution, manages global launch visibility, and drives continuous improvement of release communications and post-release issue resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the operational rhythm for patient-facing mobile application releases, acting as the central coordination point across Product Management, R&D, Tech Support, and Marketing.
- Own release communications, including release notes, launch timing, regional availability, FAQs, stakeholder updates, and release completion notifications.
- Maintain a single source of truth for global software launches, release schedules, and organization-wide launch visibility.
- Partner with Software PMs, Product Managers, and Marketing to support release readiness and align on features, timelines, known issues, and customer-facing communications.
- Support Product Managers with Quality Management System (QMS) documentation and other release-related processes.
- Monitor app rollout adoption metrics and release performance to confirm launches progress as expected.
- Consolidate and communicate post-release insights, including app store feedback, technical support trends, customer experience data, and customer sentiment to support product decisions.
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify, escalate, and drive resolution of product issues following release.
- Lead app obsolescence efforts by coordinating retirement of outdated application versions and implementing automation to reduce manual effort.
- Continuously improve release management, release communications, post-release monitoring, and broader product management processes for scalability and effectiveness.
Requirements
- Ability to work independently in ambiguous, changing, and high-scale environments across Product Management, Software PM, R&D, Marketing, Tech Support, Product Health, and regional stakeholders.
- Strong cross-functional partnership, facilitation, and change-management skills to keep teams aligned using clear ownership, timelines, and decision points.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including translating complex release information into clear updates for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Operational rigor and organizational discipline, including maintaining a reliable source of truth for release scope, timing, readiness, regional availability, and post-release status.
- Proven understanding of mobile application release management, including familiarity with app store guidelines, release readiness practices, and compliance considerations.
- Experience with agile development methodologies and tools, with the ability to manage multiple releases concurrently.
- Analytical mindset to synthesize rollout adoption, customer sentiment, Tech Support trends, app store feedback, and other post-release signals into actionable insights.
- Experience in a regulated or quality-managed environment, such as medical device or healthcare technology, is a strong plus.

Education and Experience
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and 8-12 years of related experience.
- At this level, a graduate degree may be desirable with 4 years of related experience.
Workplace and Location
- Primary location: home office.
- No assigned workstation; work with your manager to determine office visit needs.
- Must live within commuting distance of your assigned Dexcom site (typically 75 miles / 120km).

Compensation
USD 122,500 - 204,100 per year
