Job Description
Product Operations Specialist for Starlink Product Growth at SpaceX identifies process improvements, coordinates cross-functional teams, and drives initiatives to enhance customer experience and streamline operations.
Responsibilities
- Utilizes the Algorithm approach to optimize workflows by challenging requirements, removing redundant steps, and simplifying procedures to improve cross-team and customer-facing processes
- Enhances operational standards through formal process improvement methods
- Creates, updates, and maintains documentation to support organizational process enhancements
- Establishes data management workflows and enhancements to reduce administrative overhead for a growing consumer base
- Designs strategies and solutions for internal customers with clear, multi-party communication
- Works with software development, sales, finance, fulfillment, and enterprise account management to clarify and simplify cross-team handoffs
- Develops and maintains tools to communicate schedules, identify critical paths and dependencies, and track progress toward customer operation goals
- Identifies system gaps and leads the implementation of enhancements, automations, and simple fixes to improve internal interfaces
- Regularly shares project status, milestones, and roadmaps with stakeholders
- Manages multiple concurrent projects, providing status updates and risk indicators to senior leadership
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of experience in customer operations, supply chain, production, technology, consulting, or manufacturing
- 1+ years of experience using Excel, SQL, and/or business intelligence tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.) for data analysis, including projects or internships

Preferred Skills and Experience
- Extensive experience with tools and systems used to manage Starlink consumer customers
- Significant technical knowledge of Starlink in at least one key area (examples: satellites, ground network, business operations, user terminals)
- Ability to synthesize multiple distinct requirements into smart solutions, products, or features
- Strong written and verbal communication with both internal and external stakeholders
- Experience with a high-volume consumer product
- Understanding of root cause analysis
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Experience applying Six Sigma or other lean concepts
- Experience managing complex projects with schedule dependencies, risks, and conflicts
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Additional Requirements
- Must be available to work extended hours and/or weekends to support critical milestones or operations shifts
- Some travel to SpaceX sites may be required
- Must be able to work at SpaceX Hawthorne, CA office
