Product Owner
Job Description
CompTIA seeks a Product Owner to drive product strategy and delivery across its engineering portfolio, including the Optimizely DXP platform, SSO and identity services, and internal development tools.
Responsibilities
- Own and maintain the backlog for Optimizely DXP (Omni), SSO/identity, and other engineering initiatives, ensuring items are well defined, prioritized, and ready for development.
- Collaborate with Business Systems, Revenue Operations, and business stakeholders to capture, validate, and refine requirements before they enter engineering sprints.
- Define acceptance criteria for user stories and ensure the engineering team has sufficient context to deliver quality solutions.
- Prioritize work across multiple concurrent projects, including Optimizely commerce, SSO, data platform integrations, and internal tools, based on business value, dependencies, and strategic objectives.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and sprint reviews in partnership with the Scrum Master and engineering leads.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between engineering and business stakeholders for scope, timeline, and delivery inquiries.
- Coordinate with vendor partners to align external development work with internal priorities and architectural standards.
- Partner with QA to define test strategies and acceptance validation prior to release.
- Develop and communicate product roadmaps that align engineering capacity with business objectives across commerce, identity, certification, and data platform initiatives.
- Manage stakeholder expectations by providing transparent status updates, identifying risks early, and proposing trade-offs when scope or timelines conflict.
- Collaborate with the Director of Internal Systems Architecture to ensure product decisions align with enterprise architecture standards and long-term technical strategy.
Requirements
- Minimum five years of experience as a Product Owner or in a similar Agile role.
- Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies with hands-on Product Owner experience.
- Experience with enterprise commerce platforms such as Optimizely, Salesforce Commerce, or equivalent.
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into clear, actionable user stories with measurable acceptance criteria.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience working with distributed teams, including offshore or vendor development partners.
- Proficiency with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar work management tools for backlog and sprint management.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle, CI/CD practices, and release management.
- Data-driven decision making with the ability to leverage delivery metrics to inform prioritization.
- Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities across multiple concurrent projects.
- Experience with the Microsoft Dynamics 365 ecosystem (CRM, F&O, Commerce) is a plus.
- Familiarity with .NET, Next.js, or modern web application architectures is a plus.
- Experience in a cross-functional technology organization supporting multiple product lines simultaneously.
- 2+ years of experience working with enterprise-scale web platforms or eCommerce systems is a plus.

- Compensation aligned with experience and qualifications: USD 124,000 – 135,000
Compensation and Location
- Location: Remote
- Salary range: USD 124,000 - 135,000 per year
- Expected compensation based on experience and qualifications within the same range
Key Performance Indicators
- Backlog health: 90 percent or more of items in the next two sprints have defined acceptance criteria and are development-ready.
- Stakeholder satisfaction score of 4.0 or higher (out of 5) on quarterly surveys measuring clarity, communication, and delivery alignment.
- Reduction in mid-sprint scope changes to fewer than 10 percent of committed story points per sprint.
