Job Description

CompTIA seeks a Product Owner to drive product strategy and delivery across its engineering portfolio, including the Optimizely DXP platform, SSO and identity services, and internal development tools.

Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain the backlog for Optimizely DXP (Omni), SSO/identity, and other engineering initiatives, ensuring items are well defined, prioritized, and ready for development.
  • Collaborate with Business Systems, Revenue Operations, and business stakeholders to capture, validate, and refine requirements before they enter engineering sprints.
  • Define acceptance criteria for user stories and ensure the engineering team has sufficient context to deliver quality solutions.

  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and sprint reviews in partnership with the Scrum Master and engineering leads.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between engineering and business stakeholders for scope, timeline, and delivery inquiries.
  • Coordinate with vendor partners to align external development work with internal priorities and architectural standards.
  • Partner with QA to define test strategies and acceptance validation prior to release.
  • Develop and communicate product roadmaps that align engineering capacity with business objectives across commerce, identity, certification, and data platform initiatives.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations by providing transparent status updates, identifying risks early, and proposing trade-offs when scope or timelines conflict.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Internal Systems Architecture to ensure product decisions align with enterprise architecture standards and long-term technical strategy.

Requirements

  • Minimum five years of experience as a Product Owner or in a similar Agile role.
