Product Owner
Job Description
Lead product delivery for self-servicing experiences across ERIE’s digital channels as a business representative for a development team.
Responsibilities
- Partner with customers, users, stakeholders, and customer experience experts to identify customer needs, opportunities, and trends that shape backlog outcomes
- Use customer and product data, plus input from product managers, stakeholders, and team members, to support product vision and key measures of product success
- Drive the end-to-end product lifecycle to deliver on the product vision and create value for customers
- Monitor and evaluate product progress across development stages and provide stakeholder updates on delivery status
- Ensure capabilities and features align with organizational strategies and outcomes; create or co-create a roadmap aligned to the product vision
- Break down large initiatives into valuable product features that fit into the team’s quarterly planning cycle
- Decompose features into user stories and populate the team backlog
- Prioritize backlog stories to maximize customer value; coordinate with the technical lead to balance operational work with strategic priorities while maintaining quality and support
- Participate in scrum meetings and product sprints; lead sprint reviews for stakeholders and ensure the right context is provided and understood
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field required; or Associate degree in a related field plus two additional years of related experience; or High school diploma plus four additional years of related experience
- 2 years of insurance/domain related experience required
- Strong demonstrated knowledge of product/service within the domain area required
- Demonstrated ability to apply product management methods in a delivery environment required
- Demonstrated knowledge of product management practices, including backlog management, prioritization, and roadmap development required
Preferred
- Agile Product Management or Product Ownership certification (CSPO, ACSPO, PSPO, Certified SAFe Agile PO)

Location: Erie, PA (onsite). Salary: USD 79,191 - 126,500 per yearly. Nearest major market: Erie.
