Job Description

Product Owner III for Payments at PNC Financial Services Group in Pittsburgh, PA (onsite) leads the end-to-end payment experience within Retail Lending, owning the product vision, backlog, KPIs, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Own the product vision and act as the voice of the customer, aligning priorities to deliver business value and outcomes.
  • Manage and prioritize the product backlog; craft clear user stories and acceptance criteria; lead ongoing backlog refinement.
  • Partner with Scrum Masters and delivery teams through agile ceremonies to clarify scope, make day-to-day product decisions, and sustain delivery momentum.
  • Define and monitor KPIs; leverage analytics, research, and customer insights to optimize the end-to-end payment experience.
  • Review completed work, validate against requirements, and communicate delivered value and iteration outcomes to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate across Product, Technology, Operations, and business partners; support risk, compliance, audit, and application-owner responsibilities as needed.
  • Use industry and marketplace research and customer insights to identify trends and recommend new experiences or enhancements.
  • Maintain the vision and backlog integrity; ensure the Scrum team focuses on high-value work aligned to business value.
  • Clearly convey the product vision to the team to address client requirements and achieve business objectives.
  • Own the backlog quality, lead grooming sessions, and ensure item prioritization supports delivery goals.
  • Work closely with Scrum Masters and development teams; serve as the primary point of contact for questions and decision-making authority.

Pay Transparency

  • Base Salary: USD 91,000 – 185,900 per year
  • Salaries may vary by geographic location, market data, and individual skills, experience, and education
  • This role is incentive eligible with compensation tied to company, business, and/or individual performance
