Product Owner, Reservations
Job Description
Delta Airlines is building the next generation of customer and employee experiences through its Reservations and Care Experience Design & Technology team. In this Product Owner role, you will lead day-to-day delivery of AI-enabled and automation capabilities in Delta’s Customer Engagement Centers, turning business needs into build-ready requirements and working closely with IT squads to drive measurable improvements.
You’ll balance customer, employee, business, and technical considerations while translating product goals and user feedback into clear execution artifacts. The role also includes leading agile ceremonies and using performance, adoption, and quality data to continuously refine priorities.
How you’ll help
- Own and prioritize the sprint backlog for AI and automation products, balancing customer, employee, business, and technical needs.
- Translate product goals, business needs, and user feedback into features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and test scenarios that development teams can execute.
- Write and refine stories directly, ensuring requirements clearly define functionality, user value, dependencies, and the definition of done.
- Lead and participate in agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews and demos, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, stakeholders, designers, analysts, and Information Technology teams to understand business problems, validate proposed solutions, and remove ambiguity.
- Monitor product performance, adoption, and quality data, identify improvement opportunities, and use evidence to support backlog prioritization and continuous improvement.
- Develop tactical plans that create a safety-conscious environment supporting employee safety and wellbeing.
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the United States.
- High school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
- Embrace diverse people, thinking, and styles.
- Consistently prioritize safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
- Proven experience as a Product Owner or in a similar delivery-focused role in a dynamic agile environment.
- Demonstrated experience writing and refining digital product requirements, including features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and test scenarios.
- Strong working knowledge of agile practices and principles, including backlog management, prioritization, sprint planning, refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Ability to convert evolving business needs into build-ready requirements and make timely delivery decisions.
- Ability to work directly with development teams, provide rapid feedback, resolve requirement questions, and accept completed work against defined criteria.
