Job Description

HarbourVest Partners is hiring a Senior Associate, Evergreen Product Operations in Boston, MA (hybrid). This role supports the head of non-US Evergreen Operations, overseeing non-US evergreen vehicles and SMA’s while improving day-to-day operations, reporting, analytics, and investor-facing product operations materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day operational oversight for non-US evergreen products, ensuring core fund routines are delivered accurately and on schedule.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to advance analytics for internal and external reporting, with a focus on evergreen credit.
  • Collaborate with sales, investment specialists, and distribution specialists to assess commercial opportunities and support implementation of operating models and solutions to enable continued growth.
  • Own and improve the share class hedging program, including operating efficiency enhancements.
  • Take ownership of product dashboard production, and contribute to data projects that build self-serve capabilities.
  • Opportunistically integrate AI tools into processes and analysis.
  • Support liquidity management activities.
  • Provide business management support, including various types of modelling.
  • Partner with Investor Relations and Product teams to support DDQs, ODD meetings, platform due diligence, and investor queries related to product operations and regulatory compliance.
  • Contribute to enhancements of operating models, controls, and documentation frameworks for evergreen products.
  • Demonstrate an entrepreneurial approach by promoting creativity and innovativeness.
  • Perform other responsibilities as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Understands the mechanics and inter-dependencies of evergreen funds.
  • Solid grasp of open-ended or evergreen fund structures and regulated fund environments, with broad understanding of fund operations.
  • Strong understanding of private markets.
  • Ability to maintain total situational awareness, including anticipating knock-on effects of decisions across processes, teams, and client experience.
  • Results-oriented approach with strong management and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated achievements that support scaling and driving technological improvements.
  • Highly attentive to detail while also maintaining big-picture perspective.
  • Ability to craft communication aligned to the audience.
  • Process driven and execution minded, with excellent organization skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong stakeholder management. English required; other languages are a plus.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

Preferred Experience and Education

  • Minimum experience: 5 years
  • Experience focus: 5–8 years in fund/product or investment operations, or a related role within private markets (private credit, private equity), evergreen funds, or mutual funds; credit/private credit knowledge is a plus.
  • Education: Bachelor of Arts (B.A), Bachelor of Science (B.S), or equivalent experience
  • Additional preference: Understanding of the European landscape is a plus.

Compensation

USD 105,000 - 130,000 per year.
