Senior Associate, Product Manager - Fintech Products
Job Description
This onsite role leads the end-to-end customer experience for fintech travel products and defines the product strategy in partnership with Hopper for Capital One Travel, based in New York City.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to shape the future of Capital One Travel fintech in partnership with Hopper.
- Align with business and design peers to define the ideal fintech customer experience, optimize in-market products through rapid experimentation, and contribute to developing new fintech offerings.
- Focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences by analyzing feedback, leading usability and observational research with the design team, synthesizing insights, and prioritizing backlog optimizations and new features.
- Prioritize the product roadmap strategically to balance building a product customers love with driving growth and value for the business.
- Work with technology teams to establish comprehensive acceptance criteria and identify additional research needs to inform future feature design.
- Decompose business epics into features and user stories, guiding the team toward the lowest effort or MVP to validate a feature.
- Apply a growth mindset with hypothesis-driven data assessment to ensure the product delivers real business value.
- Own and manage feature development roadmaps, ensuring necessary processes and risk-management practices are followed.
- Operate autonomously in an agile environment to conduct research and develop features leveraging new technology.
- Collaborate with designers, engineers, data scientists, and subject-matter experts to craft innovative solutions that help customers.
- Deliver robust product platforms by staying informed about technology trends and architecture strategy.
- Participate in cross-functional forums to build a network of trusted relationships across tech teams, designers, and partner stakeholders.
- Communicate a concise product roadmap that delivers business value to stakeholders and establish the team as a product authority.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent military experience.
- Minimum of one year in product management or at least one year in product design, agile delivery, business analysis, data science, or software engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or an engineering discipline.
- One or more years translating business strategy or analysis into consumer-facing digital products.
- At least one year working on core product platforms powering digital experiences.
- One or more years collaborating with cross-functional teams as a product owner in an agile development process.

Salary by Location
- McLean, VA: $111,200 - $126,900 for Sr. Associate, Product Management
- New York, NY: $121,300 - $138,400 for Sr. Associate, Product Management
- Richmond, VA: $101,100 - $115,400 for Sr. Associate, Product Management
