Responsibilities

  • Translate outcomes into clear requirements and maintain a prioritized backlog for core custody capabilities, including wallet services, key management, and operating workflows.
  • Write detailed product requirements, define acceptance criteria, and collaborate with engineering to estimate, sequence, and deliver features such as deposits and withdrawals, transfers, whitelisting, approvals, entitlements, and reporting.
  • Partner daily with Compliance, Technology, Operations, and Risk to refine requirements, document control needs, and ensure custody releases satisfy client commitments and regulatory expectations.

  • Contribute to custody security and control design by capturing control requirements in user stories, participating in threat and risk reviews, and supporting evidence collection for audits (MPC/HSM usage, access governance, segregation of duties).
  • Own end-to-end feature delivery across custody workflows, including user acceptance testing support, runbooks, and go-live readiness with operations teams.
  • Assist with build-vs-buy evaluations by gathering requirements, assessing vendor capabilities, and documenting tradeoffs across security, regulatory expectations, resilience, cost, and time to market.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of product management or technical product management experience, ideally within financial services or market infrastructure.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with digital asset custody, wallet infrastructure, or related market infrastructure supporting settlement and safekeeping.
  • Strong technical fluency enabling collaboration with engineers on APIs and integrations, the ability to read logs and metrics, and data-driven validation of outcomes and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of digital asset custody operating models, safeguarding expectations, and control frameworks.
  • Understanding of wallet architectures (hot/warm/cold), transaction lifecycles, and blockchain mechanics (fees, finality, reorgs).
  • Familiarity with key management and cryptography concepts, including MPC and HSMs, key ceremonies, backup/recovery, and secure signing.
  • Operational risk experience for custody, covering approvals/entitlements, travel rule considerations, reconciliation, auditability, and incident response.
  • Experience supporting multiple blockchain networks and asset types, with a pragmatic approach to adding networks safely.
  • History of delivering secure, resilient, and auditable software in regulated environments, with strong SDLC practices, change management, and operational readiness.
  • Proven ability to deliver platform products end-to-end, translating complex technical concepts into clear roadmaps, requirements, and prioritized backlogs.
