Senior Lead Product Manager, Product Operations
Job Description
Senior Lead Product Manager, Product Operations will shape enterprise product operations and help Cox Automotive move toward AI-native product management.
Responsibilities
- Drive product management maturity by improving processes, skills, and consistency across Cox Automotive.
- Own and evolve the enterprise discipline framework with standards spanning discovery, specification, delivery, and post-launch measurement.
- Lead development and adoption of AI-first approaches to product management across CAPTG.
- Integrate AI tools (for example, Claude, Pendo AI) into product workflows including:
- discovery
- research synthesis
- specification writing
- launch readiness
- Build reusable assets such as playbooks, skills, prompts, and agents.
- Act as an internal SME and evangelist for applied AI in product management.
- Partner with Product Management, Product Readiness teams, and other teams within the Product COE and CAPTG to coordinate Product Operations initiatives and increase awareness.
- Catalyze adoption through knowledge sharing and curated resources that support behavior change.
- Define and operationalize best practices across the product development lifecycle with cross-functional partners.
- Develop learning and development programs and drive adoption of enterprise standards.
- Support product readiness processes for key initiatives across the portfolio.
Requirements
- Lead adoption of AI-first product management approaches with working knowledge of LLMs (with Claude preferred), prompt engineering, and agentic workflows.
- Provide excellent service to internal stakeholders, seeking incremental value.
- Think critically about integrating tools, processes, and standards to create compounding value.
- Teach others and communicate best practices in a way that drives buy-in and adoption.
- Self-motivated and able to drive initiatives independently with minimal oversight.
- Operate across diverse teams and stakeholders with macro and enterprise-level thinking.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable communicating with senior leadership.
Experience, Education, and Background
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 8 years of experience in a related field.
- Alternate acceptable combinations include:
- master’s degree and 6 years of experience
- Ph.D. and 3 years of experience
- 20 years of experience in a related field
- 5-7 years of experience in a Product organization in Product Management, or a combination of Product Management and Product Operations.
- Hands-on experience applying AI tools to real product management workflows with measurable results.
- Direct involvement driving continuous improvement and large operational change management initiatives.
- Ability to build business relationships and contribute to the enterprise vision at Cox Automotive.
- Ability to assess capabilities and gaps and build plans to address training needs.

Salary: USD 134,900 - 224,900 per year
