This onsite leadership role in Beaverton, Oregon provides the chance to shape bag collections across fashion and technical domains while working with cross functional partners to elevate consumer experiences.
Location: 1 Bowerman Drive, Beaverton, Oregon 97005, United States (onsite).
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of Fashion and Technical Bags Designers to deliver bag collections that are both creative and functional.
- Oversee design work across bags, small functional carry goods such as wallets, pouches, pockets, and organizers, plus bag charms and accessories.
- Blend innovation with material awareness and consumer-focused design to deliver compelling products.
- Steer the creative direction through the design season in partnership with Designers, Developers, Product Managers, and Merchants to ensure alignment with Nike Design standards.
- Collaborate across functions to meet cost targets and deadlines while guiding partners through the reasoning behind design decisions.
Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Apparel/Fashion Design or a related field, with the option to consider a suitable mix of education, experience, and training.
- 8+ years of relevant experience in Accessories Design.
- 3+ years of experience managing a design team.
- Ability to set an inspiring creative direction through thoughtful visual research and storytelling.
- Experience designing bags, small functional carry goods, and bag charms/accessories.
- Proven ability to conceptualize, edit, and complete full collections.
- Strong material knowledge across functional textiles, synthetics, leather, hardware, and trims.
- Proficiency in 3D rendering and 3D printing, with a deep understanding of construction techniques and manufacturing processes.
- Portfolio showcasing collection building and innovative product design.
- Demonstrated leadership: mentoring designers and collaborating across functions.
- Excellent skills in Adobe Creative Suite, 3D software, and sketching.
- Passion for sports and the ability to analyze product utility to enhance consumer experience.
- Knowledge of sustainable materials and processes, with strong consumer insight and trend translation for global markets.
- Technologies of note include Adobe Creative Suite, 3D software, 3D rendering, and 3D printing.
