Senior Product Manager, Impact Portfolio
Job Description
Lead product discovery and delivery for a live, impact-focused portfolio in a hybrid role based in Santa Ana.
- Translate early signals and user/market insights into product priorities, investment decisions, and a continued-evolution vision
- Shape the strategic direction of a live product by defining what to build next and why
- Drive product discovery and UX research, collecting qualitative and quantitative evidence from users, district partners, and the market
- Assess product performance and user engagement to generate insights and guide ongoing product evolution
- Define evidence-based priorities and success metrics aligned to organizational goals and user needs
- Partner with engineering to design and deliver solutions that address real user needs
- Collaborate with a centralized design team to bring craft, systems thinking, and visual consistency to the product
- Use an iterative, prototype-driven approach to reduce risk through early and frequent learning
- Own cross-functional alignment across school district administrators, engineering, field customers, and executive leadership by turning priorities into clear strategic direction and decisions
- Balance long-term vision with short-term execution through continuous prioritization to maximize impact
- Coordinate and lead cross-functional sprints, including aligning priorities, organizing work, and facilitating delivery
- Iterate and refine agentic processes, identifying improvement opportunities and incorporating feedback to strengthen effectiveness and scalability
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated track record of taking a real problem through framing, building a product or service, and shipping (not limited to planning or consulting)
- Strong problem-solving instincts and judgment for navigating hard constraints with limited information
- 5+ years working on technology-powered products as a product manager, product designer, engineer, or UX researcher
- Experience conducting UX research and translating user insights into product decisions
- Exceptional communication skills across varied audiences, from school district administrators to engineers to executives, ensuring each group feels clear and understood
- Ability to lead through influence (no formal reporting line), aligning cross-functional teams
- EdTech or education experience is preferred
- Hands-on experience with design tools (Figma or similar) and the ability to create or critique prototypes is preferred
- AI or agent-based product development experience is preferred
- Proximity to California is a plus (tools for California schools)

Compensation
- $150,000 salary (targeted)
- Targeted compensation may vary based on factors including location, skills, and experience
