Sr. Product Manager, Line Plan & Design
Job Description
Levi Strauss & Co. is hiring a Senior Product Manager to lead line planning and design capabilities within its Digital Product Creation program. This role owns the end-to-end vision and delivery of tools that connect line planning, sketching, merchandising, and downstream systems.
Role Focus
The Senior Product Manager will define and drive the product strategy for how teams work from line plan to sketching and how those workflows link to merchandising and downstream systems. The role includes turning that vision into use cases, requirements, and user stories, then testing assumptions through prototypes and MVPs.
Responsibilities
- Define and promote a vision for the future of line planning and design, rewiring collaboration from line plan to sketching and connecting both to merch, PD, and downstream systems.
- Engage and motivate partners, other PMs, and the technical team to align around the vision and its business and user benefits.
- Manage a suite of tools and capabilities that support Global Merch from end to end.
- Translate the vision into use cases, requirements, and user stories.
- Lead full product development using prototypes and MVPs to validate assumptions and refine direction based on user engagement.
- Collect and summarize data to remain data-informed and comfortable leading with recommendations.
- Apply experimentation by defining hypotheses, running tests, and using results to understand what works for fans and the business.
- Partner with colleagues in operations to document current-state processes, identify opportunities to rewire workflows, and guide process change and adoption.
- Set OKRs and an analytics strategy to shape insights, then monitor goal performance daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly.
- Maintain a dynamic product backlog by prioritizing new ideas, user enhancement requests, competitive analysis, and engagement data.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors where applicable.
- Communicate product updates, milestones, and progress to internal and external partners, and influence vendor roadmaps to prioritize enhancements or new capabilities.
- Make tradeoffs between using out-of-the-box functionality and customizing the platform based on product needs.
- Support product releases and lead rollout and adoption with business operations teams, including communication and launch planning for users.
- Stay informed on the industry by monitoring evolving technologies in line planning and design and conducting competitive analysis of other retailers.
- Contribute to product organization leadership by sharing improved ways of working and mentoring others as appropriate.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in product management, math, statistics, engineering, computer science, or another quantitative field.
- 5+ years of product management experience, with preference for experience in both new build work and third-party vendor platforms.
- Comfort across discovery through adoption, with a builder mindset.
- Known for clear documentation of user journeys, epics, and requirements.
- Strong use of data and insights to guide product development, including summarizing insights and making clear recommendations.
- Track record in product discovery and rallying teams.
- Interest in the industry and the craft, including following other retailers and the evolution of supporting technologies.
- Ability to promote collaboration and new ideas across geographical and cultural boundaries.
- Experience communicating product updates, milestones, and progress to multiple audiences across departments.
