Senior Product Manager, Content and Service - Search Ads (Mandarin Speaker)
Job Description
TikTok is seeking a Senior Product Manager for Content and Service - Search Ads (Mandarin Speaker) to guide strategy and AI-enabled delivery for TikTok Search Monetization within the GMPT organization, coordinating across functions and communicating fluently in Mandarin and English with global teams and partners.
Role Details
- Location: San Jose, CA (onsite)
- Salary: USD 185,600 - 311,600 per year
- Minimum experience: 3 years in product management or related fields
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, mathematics, statistics, economics, or related disciplines
Responsibilities
- Define the product strategy for search ads within the content and service verticals, including travel, entertainment, and local services, and drive enhancements that create distinct competitive advantages
- Refine the search traffic approach in ads by improving query understanding, relevance, the user journey, and related aspects to boost user experience and advertiser ROI
- Lead AI-focused exploration in search ad scenarios and deliver early-stage products, such as agentic transactions, while crafting ad formats tailored to vertical markets
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, data, sales, and related teams to scale products from research and development to commercial deployment
- Adopt a data-driven discipline to define core metrics, build A/B testing pipelines, continuously iterate the product, and work with commercial teams to drive broad customer adoption
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, mathematics, statistics, economics, or related fields; candidates from other majors with equivalent practical capabilities are welcome
- At least 3 years of experience in search advertising with deep knowledge of the full ad serving chain and ecosystem, including recall, ranking, bidding, creative, and ad formats; experience in travel, entertainment, or local services strategy is favored
- Hands-on experience applying AI to search advertising contexts, including query understanding, ad relevance modeling, and generative ad creative, plus a solid grasp of AI productization pathways
- Strong data-driven mindset, excellent cross-functional collaboration skills, international communication ability, and proficient written documentation
- Fluency in English and Mandarin is required due to ongoing engagement with global teams and markets; Mandarin proficiency is essential for engaging with Chinese-speaking partners and navigating cross-cultural business activities
