Senior Product Manager, Inventory
Job Description
Compass is building the first modern end-to-end real estate platform by uniting agents, buyers, and sellers through technology. In the Search and Listings team, the Senior Product Manager will own the Inventory domain, steering initiatives such as Reverse Prospecting, Make Me Sell, Buyer Demand, and Network, while prioritizing Compass inventory programs including Private Exclusive and Coming Soon.
Location: New York, NY (onsite). Salary: USD 137,000 - 152,000 per year. Education: Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum experience: 5 years.
Responsibilities
- Deliver customer-facing enhancements that improve agent workflows.
- Shape the roadmap and prioritize innovative features and products within the Inventory domain.
- Lead the Inventory domain (Reverse Prospecting, Make Me Sell, Buyer Demand, and Network) with a focus on Compass inventory programs such as Private Exclusive and Coming Soon.
- Institute an agile cadence through monthly leadership syncs to adapt to evolving market dynamics.
- Own and manage the software development lifecycle for Compass products from concept and user research through development, launch, and adoption.
- Deliver and maintain features, monitor key performance metrics, and identify opportunities to add value for agents and their clients.
- Help define high-level product direction by collaborating with agents, consumers, and internal stakeholders to craft solutions for their challenges.
Requirements
- 5–9 years of experience in progressive product management roles, with a track record of launching successful products and features.
- Ability to gather and prioritize requirements from multiple sources, uncover underlying needs beyond stated requests, and rationalize them across stakeholders.
- Experience working with business stakeholders at the executive level.
- Strong consensus-building and relationship skills, with experience marshaling resources across different functions.
- Ability to influence others and lead without formal authority, especially in cross-functional and executive settings.
- Comfort collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- B.S. or similar in a technical discipline (Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics) strongly preferred.

The Search and Listings team's mission is to envision, build, and deploy the next-generation end-to-end platform for real estate listing ingestion, storage, and search at massive scale to provide leverage for Compass. We are seeking an experienced, results-oriented Senior Product Manager to join our fast-growing team. In this role, you will own Inventory within the Search and Listings organization, taking charge of our Reverse Prospecting, Make Me Sell, Buyer Demand, and Network products. You will apply an agile approach, establishing monthly leadership syncs to prioritize new initiatives based on changing market dynamics.
