Job Description

Sr Product Manager role at News Corp (Realtor.com) for a technical platform domain, focused on infrastructure powering lead ingestion and delivery (or the Focus Fire backend).

  • Define product strategy for your domain: lead ingestion, validation, spam prevention, and multi-channel delivery, or the Focus Fire backend feature audit and migration
  • Partner deeply with engineering on API and webhook design, system architecture, and data contract expectations
  • Independently identify structural risk by understanding technical designs at a detailed level
  • Set and own measurable targets such as SLAs, migration-cohort readiness, and escalation volume, then drive the roadmap to achieve them
  • Lead consolidation or migration to unify fragmented legacy services into a single maintainable platform, sequenced as:
    • Feature audit
    • Thin-slice POC
    • Phased cutover
  • Resolve production issues (delivery failures, cross-system sync gaps, data-quality problems) using data-driven prioritization
  • Write migration and platform build-out briefs with explicit hypotheses, objectives, and key results for each phase
  • Create customer-facing and internal-facing documentation, including integration guides and technical references to enable self-serve support
  • Translate client and internal needs (CRM integrations, account and billing workflows, delivery preferences) into clear product requirements
  • Represent CRM and operations needs by partnering with customer success, sales, and internal operations teams
  • Serve as primary product owner for a dedicated engineering team, including sprint ceremonies, backlog management, and blocker resolution
  • Collaborate with data, analytics, and operations teams to define success metrics and monitor production system health
  • Communicate roadmap, tradeoffs, and delivery status clearly to senior stakeholders and revenue leadership

Requirements

  • 8+ years of product management experience
  • At least 2 years owning infrastructure, platform, data pipeline, or backend migration products
  • Experience working closely with engineering on API and webhook design, system architecture, and integration patterns
  • Proven ability to define and manage against SLAs in production
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort diagnosing delivery issues, prioritizing work, and measuring impact with data
  • Track record delivering successful service consolidation or migration with minimal disruption to internal and external customers
  • Excellent written communication, including experience producing technical documentation for internal and external audiences

Benefits

  • Inclusive and competitive medical, Rx, dental, and vision coverage
  • Family forming benefits
  • 13 Paid Holidays
  • Flexible Time Off
  • 8 hours of paid Volunteer Time Off
  • Immediate eligibility into Company 401(k) plan with 3.5% match
  • Tuition Reimbursement program for degreed and non-degreed programs
  • 1:1 personalized Financial Planning Sessions
  • Student Debt Retirement Savings Match program
  • Free snacks and refreshments in each office location

Preferred

  • Experience in real estate, proptech, or marketplace businesses
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and common integration patterns (webhooks, custom formatters)
  • Background in spam detection, lead quality, or consumer data validation

Work Model

  • In-person collaboration supported by on-site work
  • For most roles, employees work four or more days in the office

Location: Austin, TX, United States (onsite)
