Sr. Contract Specialist, Business and Product Operations

In this role, you will help turn contractual work into a reliable operating system for customer-facing deal execution at Amazon Web Services. Working within the larger AWS Sales and Marketing Operations team, you will operationalize how Statements of Work (SOWs) are created, reviewed, approved, and improved over time for AWS Professional Services and AWS Legal.

Based in Seattle, WA (onsite), you will partner across Legal, Sales, Operations, and Management while building repeatable processes and mentoring other Contract Specialists.

Role overview

The Sr. Contract Specialist, Business and Product Operations supports AWS Professional Services and AWS Legal by owning the operational contract creation process for SOWs and related contracting structures. You will draft and review SOWs, manage approvals and status tracking, and act as the SOW creation subject matter expert while driving continuous process improvement.

What you’ll do

• Own the SOW process, including drafting and reviewing SOWs to ensure alignment with business and legal requirements, gathering approvals, tracking status, and communicating between key stakeholders
• Identify and implement operational improvements and enhancements that meet business requirements
• Communicate daily with cross-functional teams including Sales, Legal, Operations, and Management on assigned deals
• Recruit, onboard, train, and influence other Contract Specialists
• Create and maintain standard operating procedures
• Drive continuous process improvement while developing relationships that support long-term solutions
• Become the SOW creation subject matter expert

Requirements

• 5+ years of Microsoft Excel experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software
• Experience defining, refining, and implementing sales processes, procedures, and policies (or equivalent)

• Salary: USD 88,100 - 154,100 per year
