Job Description
The Senior Product Manager role at Gainwell Technologies focuses on maximizing product value by defining a clear vision, maintaining the backlog, and serving as the principal liaison between business stakeholders and agile development teams in an Agile environment.
Role Overview
This position centers on driving product outcomes through strategic visioning, backlog stewardship, and cross functional collaboration with stakeholders and engineering partners to deliver mission critical solutions in the public and private sectors.
Responsibilities
- Oversee designated functional areas and direct reports, providing staff leadership aligned with established policies and procedures.
- Ensure service delivery of products meets client and company expectations, while identifying and implementing improvements to achieve objectives.
- Contribute to new business development and the preparation of task order proposals.
- Monitor business activities to maintain high standards of professional excellence across the team.
- Lead the development of operating and personnel budgets; track spending, propose variances, and conduct budget analyses.
- Collaborate with other managers and subject matter experts to optimize resources and resolve significant issues; establish processes to meet customer needs.
- Maintain ongoing communications with customers, management, and staff to ensure on time delivery within budget or contractual obligations.
- Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate employees; address performance issues and recommend personnel actions; motivate and recognize staff within budget guidelines.
Requirements
- Minimum 12 years of product management experience, with advanced knowledge of methodologies, budgeting, planning, and delivery frameworks.
- Eight or more years of leadership experience with a proven ability to mentor and develop high performing teams.
- Strong expertise in financial management, including budget development, analysis, forecasting, and earned value management principles.
- Demonstrated experience in public sector environments, including contracting, regulatory compliance, and delivery of mission critical services.
- Exceptional communication, strategic planning, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and drive results across cross functional teams.
