Staff Product Manager, Nexus
Job Description
Own the next phase of Temporal Nexus, expanding durable connectivity across teams and AI-enabled systems.
Responsibilities
- Nexus product strategy and roadmap: set priorities that reinforce Nexus as a durable connectivity layer across teams, namespaces, services, and AI systems
- Drive in-flight execution: push completion of ongoing work including the new Nexus developer experience, Standalone Nexus Operations, connector foundations, caller identity, rate limits, and payload encryption
- Customer discovery and evidence: partner with design partners and strategic customers including Netflix, Duolingo, and Miro
- Developer and operator experience: align SDK ergonomics, schema-first contracts, codegen, service discovery, security, visibility, and control-plane requirements
- Cross-functional launch and enablement: ensure internal stakeholders understand the problems Nexus solves and can sell, deploy, and support it
- Success metrics: define adoption and momentum measures such as activated accounts, completed Nexus operations, shared-service usage, SDK coverage, design-partner progress, and field readiness
Requirements
- Staff-level product judgment: 8+ years in product management or equivalent experience delivering outcomes from ambiguous and technical strategy
- Strong technical depth: ability to reason about distributed systems, workflow orchestration, service-to-service communication, APIs, SDKs, identity, and authorization
- Developer-platform experience: experience building or productizing infrastructure/platforms/integrations across areas such as APIs, SDKs, service mesh, API gateways, or cloud developer products
- Customer and field orientation: comfortable working directly with senior technical customers and enabling GTM teams on a complex product
- Excellent writing and narrative skills: produce crisp strategy docs, roadmap narratives, launch materials, and decision memos
- Execution discipline: inherit complex roadmaps, clarify ownership, unblock decisions, and keep teams focused

Location & compensation

- Salary range: USD 160,000 - 262,500 per yearly
- Minimum experience: 8 years
