Job Description
The Digital Product Design Senior Manager role at Accenture Song is based onsite in Boston, MA. The position leads multiple product design programs with AI-enabled design at the core, ensuring high-quality delivery across engagements while contributing to business development, client relationships, and People & Practice Development within the Design & Digital Products practice. The salary range is USD 122,700 to 338,300 per year, and a minimum of five years of product design experience is expected.
Responsibilities
- Direct several product design programs, offering strategic guidance and quality governance across leads and teams, while maintaining accountability for delivery health, team performance, and measurable outcomes in complex client environments.
- Cultivate and sustain senior client relationships, serving as the principal voice on high-stakes engagements and building trust that converts projects into enduring partnerships.
- Translate strategic recommendations into tangible outputs through clear product visions, prototypes, and shipped experiences, leveraging AI to accelerate delivery and enhance outcomes.
- Provide direction while remaining closely connected to the work, shaping product decisions and ensuring high quality design across the full product lifecycle.
- Foster inclusive team cultures that enable practitioners to grow and empower leads to sharpen leadership judgment and client-management skills to assume program ownership.
- Develop a healthy pipeline by strengthening client relationships, aligning Song capabilities with client priorities, and delivering compelling proposals to win work that inspires designers and fuels future demand.
- Contribute thought leadership on topics important to clients, expanding dialogues, elevating the team's thinking, and positioning Song as a credible industry voice.
- Help evolve ways of working by capturing and scaling new practices, with emphasis on how AI reshapes product design workflows, delivery, and outcomes.
- Lead and mentor staff, guiding them through challenges, advancing their craft, leadership capabilities, and client acumen.
- Influence the evolution of the Product Design practice by advancing new working methods, strengthening AI-enabled design, and reinforcing overall craft.
- Build inclusive, high-performing teams where designers are supported, challenged, and positioned to grow into stronger leaders over time.
Requirements
- More than 10 years of experience in Product Design, with a track record across diverse industries, user groups, and business challenges.
- At least 5 years leading end-to-end product design programs, managing complexity, ambiguity, shifting scope, and senior stakeholders; strong executive presence and ability to navigate difficult conversations with senior client stakeholders to guide outcomes while protecting delivery teams.
- Over 5 years directly mentoring or developing designers at a senior level, demonstrating the ability to grow practitioners into program owners and future leaders.
- Five-plus years in business development, shaping proposals, scoping programs, and presenting to clients to build confidence and secure engagements; ability to connect design decisions to business outcomes and influence cross-functional decisions.
