Job Description

Abercrombie & Fitch Co. is hiring a Digital Product Manager to lead customer-first, digitally enabled experiences across its global brands. This role sits within the User Experience and Digital Product Team, partnering with cross-functional teams to translate product vision into measurable outcomes while maintaining operational health and proactively managing risk.

In this position, you will lead one or more experience and services squads, shaping how customers experience the company’s digital products and how those efforts support business goals across the portfolio.

What you’ll do

  • Shape strategic direction by combining customer insights, business context, and product vision.
  • Connect customer problems to squad and business goals, using competitive and market context to identify opportunities, explain prioritization trade-offs, and partner with Finance to develop the business case for investment.
  • Surface customer problems through user research, voice of customer inputs, and data analysis.
  • Form hypotheses with designers and analysts.
  • Validate solutions using experiments and usability testing to ensure decisions are evidence-based.
  • Translate vision into outcome-focused roadmaps and sprint plans, prioritizing work, resolving blockers, and aligning cross-functional partners (UX, IT, Store Operations, Data Science, Analytics, Merchandising, Finance, Marketing) on launch timelines, deployment plans, and internal communications.
  • Own product-area operational health in production, ensuring the user experience is operating optimally and maintaining backlog health.
  • Anticipate risk during planning by reviewing dependencies, timelines, and assumptions.
  • Propose mitigation options with clear trade-offs rather than only escalating, and maintain risk visibility so stakeholders do not learn of risks first in status meetings.
  • Set expectations for the team’s output by defining success criteria and acceptance standards, documenting requirements as epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria, and driving the validation plan end to end, including deciding when to ship versus hold and conducting post-launch monitoring.
  • Facilitate alignment through story mapping, workshops, stand-ups, design reviews, sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives.
  • Navigate contentious priority trade-offs productively.
  • Serve as the end-to-end subject matter expert for your product area.
  • Coach other product managers with developmental feedback.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least 3 years of digital product management experience in consumer-facing mobile and web products, including a track record of launching new, innovative customer experiences.
  • At least 3 years of retail industry experience or equivalent domain experience.
  • Proficiency applying Design Thinking, Agile, and Lean methods to deliver high-value outcomes for business and customers through digital products.
  • Demonstrated ownership of product operations and risk in partnership with delivery managers, including backlog health, delivery cadence, dependency management, and mitigation options with clear trade-offs.
  • Strong command of modern digital technologies, with the ability to facilitate communication across business, technology, and design teams.
  • Strong communication skills and a proven ability to influence strategically and cross functionally.
  • Strategic mindset and bias for action, including experience defining OKRs and driving business outcomes through digital products.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure, balance competing priorities, and work without direct supervision.
  • Leadership traits that build consensus, coach and mentor peers, and energize the team around goals.

Compensation and location

  • Location: Remote (remote) across the U.S.
  • Salary range: USD 110,000 - 130,000 per year
