Job Description
The Digital Product Design Senior Manager at Information Technology Senior Management Forum leads multiple design programs across accounts within the Design & Digital Products practice. This role is accountable for client delivery, business development, and people and practice growth, with a focus on crafting high quality product experiences and integrating AI into design workflows.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction and quality oversight for multiple product design programs, guiding leads and their teams while monitoring delivery health, team performance, and outcomes in complex client environments.
- Cultivate and sustain senior client relationships, acting as the decisive voice on high stakes engagements and building trust that converts projects into enduring partnerships.
- Translate strategic recommendations into tangible outcomes through clear product visions, prototypes, and shipped experiences, leveraging AI to accelerate delivery.
- Set direction while maintaining hands-on involvement, shaping product decisions and ensuring high quality design delivery across the full product lifecycle.
- Foster inclusive team cultures that enable practitioner growth and help leads sharpen leadership judgment and client relationship skills to assume program ownership.
- Expand the pipeline by strengthening client relationships, connecting Song capabilities to client priorities, and crafting compelling proposals that inspire designers and raise visibility for future demand.
- Develop thought leadership on topics relevant to clients, opening new conversations and elevating the team's thinking, positioning Song as a credible industry voice.
- Contribute to evolving ways of working by capturing and scaling new practices, with emphasis on AI reshaping design workflows, delivery, and outcomes.
- Serve as a leader and mentor, helping the team navigate challenges, grow their craft, leadership skills, and client acumen.
- Shape the evolution of the Product Design practice by introducing new approaches, advancing AI-enabled design, and strengthening the overall craft.
- Build inclusive, high performing teams where designers are supported, challenged, and positioned to grow into stronger leaders over time.
Requirements
- Ten or more years of experience in Product Design across diverse industries, user groups, and business problems.
- Five or more years leading product design programs end-to-end, with experience managing complexity, ambiguity, shifting scope, and senior stakeholders; strong executive presence and the ability to navigate difficult conversations with senior client stakeholders to guide outcomes while protecting delivery teams.
- Five or more years directly managing or developing designers at a senior level, demonstrating the ability to grow practitioners into program owners and future leaders.
- Five or more years leading business development by shaping proposals, scoping programs, and presenting to clients in a way that builds confidence and closes deals; demonstrated ability to connect product design decisions to business outcomes and influence cross functional decision making.

Role Location and Annual Salary Range
Location: Arlington, Virginia (onsite)
- California — USD 132,500 to 338,300 per year
- Cleveland — USD 122,700 to 270,600 per year
- Colorado — USD 132,500 to 292,200 per year
- District of Columbia — USD 141,100 to 311,200 per year
- Illinois — USD 122,700 to 292,200 per year
