Job Description

Optum is seeking a Digital Product Manager for its Financial Digital Experiences portfolio, focusing on commercial products. This role shapes the vision, strategy, and iterative growth of the digital product portfolio through collaboration with business, technology, UX/UI, marketing, data, and analytics teams. The position is based in Eden Prairie, MN with remote work options, offering a salary range of USD 91,700 to 163,700 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic vision and goals: establish the long-term direction for digital products and measurable targets informed by real-world data, customer research, and organizational objectives, with tracking for performance, adoption, and feature impact
  • User centered design and analytics: apply user-centric principles to deliver scalable, technology-forward solutions; leverage post-launch analytics such as NPS and tagging data to scale enhancements that boost satisfaction and operational outcomes
  • Roadmapping and market evaluation: align the product roadmap with long-term business priorities, maintaining detailed plans that reflect stakeholder input, market trends, and data insights; perform competitive analysis to identify opportunities for differentiation
  • Stakeholder engagement: build and maintain relationships with clients, executive leaders, and cross-functional teams, championing the product vision; regularly review KPIs to measure adoption, retention, engagement, and ROI
  • Customer research and validation: oversee user studies, usability testing, and surveys to uncover opportunities and refine product positioning; manage competing demands across initiatives while aligning with corporate goals
  • Budget and resource oversight: manage development budgets and resources, ensuring alignment with financial benchmarks while optimizing delivery
  • Prioritization and trade-offs: balance competing demands across multiple initiatives while ensuring alignment with corporate goals
  • Cross-functional collaboration: document and communicate product requirements, epics, and user stories linked to organizational objectives; partner with UX/UI teams to translate concepts into intuitive, visually compelling solutions
  • Leadership in delivery: guide cross-functional teams of product owners and managers to achieve sprint goals, overseeing iterative delivery and ongoing improvements based on adoption data and performance analytics

Requirements

  • Minimum six years in digital product management or related roles, preferably within enterprise-scale environments
  • At least four years of demonstrated ability to influence multiple teams indirectly across product ownership, management, UX/UI, and engineering, delivering measurable outcomes with clarity and collaboration
  • Four or more years of experience with executive-level stakeholder management and communication
  • Four-plus years working with agile frameworks and using tools such as JIRA or equivalent
  • Four-plus years of experience with analytics platforms including Power BI, Tableau, Adobe Analytics, or Google Analytics
  • Four-plus years of experience with A/B testing platforms and modern UX/UI methodologies to improve user satisfaction
  • Four-plus years of experience with Adobe Content Management (Adobe CMS)
  • Demonstrated adaptability navigating ambiguity or shifting priorities in complex environments
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a data-driven approach
  • Emotional intelligence and collaboration proficiency to foster trust across teams
  • Proven skilled communicator capable of aligning both technical and non-technical audiences
