Digital Technical Product Manager (Mid Level) - Servicing
Job Description
USAA is seeking a mid-level Digital Technical Product Manager to help shape the discovery, delivery, and performance of digital and technology products and experiences for USAA and its members. In this role, you will use human-centered approaches to design multi-platform solutions, drive implementation, and optimize outcomes against defined KPIs and KRIs.
What you will do
- Own the discovery, delivery, and performance of digital and technology products and the experiences they enable for USAA and its members.
- Partner with internal stakeholders and external partners to address complex problems and improve customer experience across market offerings.
- Design and drive multi-platform technology and digital solutions, while optimizing and improving existing products and experiences across channels to support KPIs and KRIs.
- Apply Human-Centered Design and Design Thinking methodologies to bring digital and/or technology products to market.
- Use digital or technology research, business and market intelligence, and data-driven insights to identify opportunities, propose solutions, create and maintain roadmaps, and improve performance.
- Translate customer needs and wants, along with other inputs, into problem statements and initiatives such as requirements and features, then drive an execution strategy.
- Guide digital or technology product opportunities from idea through market validation in collaboration with stakeholders and subject matter experts (Business, UX, Technology, Ops, Marketing, and others).
- Create business case artifacts and hypotheses to scope digital or technology product and experience opportunities.
- Use data-driven problem-solving and analytical rigor to understand and report product and experience performance against KPIs and KRIs.
- Generate insights using a variety of tools and resources to uncover opportunities for improving digital or technology products and experiences.
- Build relationships with customers including business partners, members, and stakeholders to understand current and future business needs.
- Prepare clear presentations and other communications to share complex concepts with diverse audiences.
- Research and apply industry best practices and trends to increase effectiveness of digital or technology products.
- Maintain and apply growing knowledge across business, technology, UX, and relevant experiences and product management processes.
- Ensure risks tied to business activities are identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in alignment with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
What you will need
- Bachelor’s degree; or 4 years of relevant education and/or experience.
- 4 years of Digital/Technology Product Management experience, including Digital/Technology exposure across Strategy/Planning, Innovation, User Experience, Process Engineering, Analytics, and Research/Testing.
- 1 year of Customer Contact Channel experience within the Insurance or Financial services industry, which will take place as part of the minimum experience requirement.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, present, influence, and communicate business decisions.
- Knowledge of Agile Methodology.
Compensation and work details
- Salary range: USD 103,450 to 197,730 per year.
- The actual salary may vary by location, and employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
- Location: San Antonio, TX (onsite).
- In the office 4 days per week.
- Position can be based in: San Antonio, TX; Plano, TX; Colorado Springs, CO; Phoenix, AZ; Chesapeake, VA; or Tampa, FL.
- Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
