Job Description

The Lead Product Manager, AI at A10 Networks owns the AI product roadmap and revenue strategy for the A10 AI Firewall and an AI gateway offering. The role also sets cross-portfolio standards for how AI is delivered, measured, and governed, while representing A10’s AI direction with customers and industry stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set and defend the product roadmap for A10 AI Firewall and an AI gateway, covering PRD through NPI stage gates, leading to GA and revenue outcomes.
  • Own pricing and packaging, including an identity-based licensing model and discount structure; defend margin against field pressure.
  • Partner with engineering on deployment architecture across Thunder form factors: appliance, vThunder, bare metal, and containerized; align product integration with Thunder ADC, SSLi, CFW, and the aXAPI control plane.
  • Drive commercial performance by carrying bookings, contributing to pipeline, and improving attach rate to the installed base.
  • Define what “AI-enhanced” means across A10, including a common efficacy bar, model transparency standard, and telemetry contract that each product line implements to avoid rework.
  • Coordinate cross-line AI decisions with PMs for Thunder ADC, CGN, SSLi, CFW, the A10 Defend suite (including Defend Mitigator and Defend ThreatX Protect), and A10 Control.
  • Represent AI in portfolio review processes, CAB, and the AI CoE intake process, bringing forward build/buy/partner recommendations with supporting analysis.
  • Manage and develop one AI-focused product manager and scale product leadership as the business grows.
  • Establish standards for written artifacts, customer discovery, and evidence-backed decisions across AI initiatives.
  • Act as a credible technical voice for A10’s AI strategy with customers, prospects, analysts, and field teams in briefings, conferences, and escalated deals.
  • Drive enablement so SEs and account teams can sell AI capabilities without requiring presence on every customer call.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years in product management, including at least 2 experiences owning an enterprise infrastructure or security product end to end with pricing and revenue accountability.
  • Deep understanding of AI/ML security and/or AI infrastructure, including LLM attack surface, prompt injection and model abuse, agentic architectures, MCP and inference traffic patterns, and what an AI gateway does in a production path.
  • Strong networking and security fundamentals across L4–L7, TLS and encrypted traffic inspection, API security, firewalling, and DDoS.
  • Experience with service provider or enterprise sales motions, with the judgment to distinguish where they differ.
  • Proven experience shipping through a formal stage-gate process and leading cross-functional programs without direct authority over most participants.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, including presenting to executives, customers, and analysts.
