Materials Program Manager, Product Operations - Central MPM/MM
Job Description
Own product cost and financial health across the materials and supply chain lifecycle for integrated consumer products, partnering with engineering and supply chain teams to keep spend aligned to targets.
Responsibilities
- Lead engineering and supply chain teams to optimize BOM+MVA cost below target
- Negotiate component costs managed by the contract manufacturer
- Track program actual costs vs target to surface deltas and define corrective actions to restore alignment
- Run executive management BOM+MVA cost reviews with deep dives across product cost drivers
- Determine the Supplier Plan of Record to optimize supplier mix across cost, quality, and supply continuity
- Manage device-level component qualification with engineering, product integrity, quality, and regulatory teams to ensure components are fully qualified before mass production and purchase approvals
- Perform competitive cost analysis
- Attend program new product introduction meetings to understand cost impacts of engineering and/or process changes against fully loaded cost targets
- Partner with OEM/ODM to set purchase order cost for upcoming periods and manage purchase price variance claims from engineering changes, component obsolescence, or forecast variance
- Support weekly executive product line reviews focused on performance against budget, target, and actual cost
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience developing, negotiating, and executing business agreements
- Analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
- 5+ years hands-on experience managing complex projects working directly with engineering in supply chain and/or manufacturing of consumer products
- Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
- Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to influence others and facilitate alignment among stakeholders with different interests
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or equivalent
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Experience driving end-to-end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience using managed ML/AI solutions
- 5+ years experience in consumer electronics, preferably Wearable, Smart Speaker, Tablet, or streaming media players
- Ability to prioritize tasks and maximize internal resources

Compensation: USD 101,600 - 177,800 per year
