Product Manager
Job Description
The Product Manager at MSA Safety leads the development of software driven safety products by deeply understanding customers and markets, shaping strategic direction, and guiding cross functional teams to deliver a best in class UI/UX. This hybrid role is based in Cranberry Township, PA.

Responsibilities
- Deeply understand customers, markets, and competitors to generate insights that translate into valuable features, products, and services that customers love.
- Develop a strategy that is robust, forward looking, and designed to accelerate business performance with sustainable competitive advantage, faster time to market, and development efficiency.
- Collaborate with product teams to build software intensive, tech driven products on scalable architectures that keep pace with rapidly evolving market needs while delivering a best in class UI/UX.
- Balance the needs of diverse customers, internal teams, and organizational pressures with the long term requirements for platform scalability, reliability, and extensibility.
- Work cross functionally across engineering, design, operations, sales, and marketing to drive tangible business value and progressive approaches during a period of accelerated transformation.
- Provide leadership to the Product Team and clearly communicate focus. Leverage the OKR framework to create visibility, alignment, and clarity of scope with an emphasis on customer outcomes over team output.
- Set ambitious goals and lead by example to transform how development teams think and work, removing barriers and maintaining a clear why.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business Administration or related discipline.
- A strong passion for transforming worker and worksite safety through technology powered solutions.
- Experience collaborating with software development teams or as a software developer.
- Proven ability to solve complex problems and execute multiple tasks in parallel with limited resources.
- Outstanding organizational, communication, presentation, and leadership skills through influence.
- Excellent analytical and quantitative abilities with a data driven mindset.
- High adaptability to frequent change, using it as an opportunity to perform at your best.
- Aptitude for quickly learning new technologies across domains.
- Strong design sense with a track record of delivering intuitive interfaces and frictionless user experiences, supported by evidence.
- Proven history of developing customer experiences with clear outcomes for the customer and the business.
- Working understanding of Marty Cagan’s Product Model, experience with Customer Discovery, and familiarity with approaches to test assumptions and balance the four risks (value, viability, usability, feasibility).
- Experience with AI tools to accelerate product development, especially for testing ideas and informing prioritization.
