Product Manager
Job Description
The Product Manager will oversee the myQ residential portfolio at Chamberlain Group, shaping strategy, roadmaps, and go-to-market efforts while coordinating with Marketing, Engineering, and Customer Experience to optimize the lifecycle of connected-device products. This role is based in Oak Brook, IL with a hybrid work arrangement.
Responsibilities
- Develop and communicate the product strategy and roadmaps for the assigned categories within the myQ residential lineup, guiding execution to meet business objectives.
- Lead the planning and delivery of product launches from concept through commercialization, ensuring alignment with revenue, profitability, quality, and innovation targets.
- Conduct market, consumer, and competitive analyses to identify opportunities for growth, differentiation, and cost optimization.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Engineering, and Customer Experience to define requirements, prioritize features, and deliver user-centric solutions for connected devices.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to develop and implement go-to-market plans for e-commerce and retail channels, including pricing, packaging, and promotional strategy.
- Manage the financial performance of assigned products, including revenue forecasting, margin analysis, and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Define key performance indicators to track product success and customer engagement, leveraging analytics and feedback to drive continuous improvement.
- Coordinate the creation of marketing collateral, technical documentation, and training materials to support product rollout and adoption.
- Act as a Product Owner in Agile environments, contributing to sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and review sessions.
- Maintain awareness of emerging technologies and consumer trends to inform future product development and roadmap planning.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with quality, data protection, and product-safety standards.
- Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings to communicate product vision and gather market insights.
- Contribute to cross-functional initiatives, providing strategic input on product innovation and lifecycle management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; foreign equivalent accepted.
- 3 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in Product Management, Engineering, or Marketing, involving the development, execution, and management of consumer or electromechanical products.
- Experience with product lifecycle management for consumer electronic or electromechanical devices.
- Proven ability to define and execute go-to-market strategies for retail and e-commerce channels.
- Data-driven approach to analysis and decision-making.
- Experience in cross-functional environments involving Engineering, Marketing, and Sales teams.
- Ability to perform data-driven analysis to support product decisions, pricing, and profitability.
- Experience creating and maintaining product roadmaps, feature definitions, and documentation.
- Proficiency in applying Agile/Scrum methodologies within product development cycles.
- Experience developing business cases, financial models, and KPI tracking for product performance.
