Product Manager
Job Description
Drive the commercial growth of the NorthPoint Cabinetry line by owning the full product lifecycle for physical cabinetry products.
Responsibilities
- Own NorthPoint Cabinetry product assortments, including new introductions, line extensions, enhancements, and discontinuations
- Evaluate sales performance, inventory trends, customer feedback, and competitive activity to uncover opportunities for growth and optimization
- Build demand forecasts and partner with supply chain and operations to support the right inventory levels while reducing excess
- Collaborate with domestic and international suppliers on sourcing initiatives, focusing on quality, cost, lead times, and product improvements
- Conduct market and competitive research to identify emerging trends, category gaps, and opportunity areas in cabinetry and building products
- Recommend pricing strategies grounded in product costs, market conditions, competitive positioning, and profitability targets
- Coordinate with marketing and sales to support launches and promotional activity, including training materials and go-to-market planning
- Act as internal subject matter expert for NorthPoint Cabinetry products and specifications
- Maintain accurate product information, specifications, pricing, and attributes in ERP and product information systems
- Track and report key product performance metrics such as sales, margins, inventory turns, and category profitability
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- 5+ years in product management, category management, merchandising, product development, or a related role tied to physical consumer or commercial products
- Experience managing hard-good product categories, preferably in cabinetry, building products, home improvement, furniture, kitchen and bath, or a related industry
- Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel and business reporting tools
- Experience working in ERP systems; SAP experience preferred
- Proven ability to analyze market data, manage product portfolios, and drive profitable growth
- Strong organization, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Have managed hard-good product categories (not software/IT products)
- Experience in cabinetry, building materials, home improvement, furniture, kitchen and bath, or related industries
- Hands-on experience with demand forecasting and inventory planning
- Willingness to travel domestically about 5-6 times/year
- Located in or willing to relocate to DFW, Bossier City, LA, or York, PA area
- Product/Category Management involving physical products: 5 years (Required)

Preferred Qualifications
- Cabinetry, kitchen and bath, building materials, construction products, or home furnishings industry experience
- Experience with global manufacturing and sourcing partners
- Familiarity with inventory planning, demand forecasting, and category management principles
- Experience supporting dealer, distributor, or wholesale sales channels
Additional Information
- Travel: Approximately 5-6 domestic trips annually; limited international travel
- Work location: Hybrid remote in Irving, TX 75038 (also noted: Dallas, TX preferred; Bossier City, LA; or York, PA)
