Job Description

Ford Motor Company is hiring an experienced Product Manager to lead Order Management System (OMS) capabilities for modern commerce experiences in a hybrid role based in Dearborn, MI.

Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate product vision, goals, and roadmap initiatives
  • Align product priorities with customer needs and business objectives
  • Spot opportunities to improve customer experience and operational effectiveness
  • Make product decisions using customer feedback, market trends, analytics, and business insights
  • Own the product lifecycle from discovery through launch and continuous improvement
  • Define business requirements, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria
  • Prioritize product backlogs based on customer value, business impact, and technical feasibility
  • Partner with engineering teams to deliver high-quality product enhancements and new capabilities
  • Support release planning, testing, launch activities, and post-launch performance monitoring
  • Drive enhancements across core order management capabilities, including:
    • Order orchestration
    • Inventory visibility
    • Fulfillment workflows
    • Customer notifications
    • Returns and exchanges
    • Payment processing
    • Customer service experiences
    • System integrations
  • Build strong partnerships across business, technology, operations, and external vendor teams
  • Facilitate alignment among stakeholders with diverse priorities and perspectives
  • Communicate roadmap updates, key decisions, risks, and delivery progress to leadership
  • Lead cross-functional discussions to drive successful outcomes

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
  • 5+ years of Product Management experience, including:
    • Experience creating roadmaps, requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
    • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills
    • Ability to balance customer needs, business priorities, and technical considerations
  • 4+ years of experience managing complex digital products or enterprise software solutions
  • 3+ years of experience working with Agile product development methodologies

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the strategy, roadmap, and execution of Order Management System (OMS) capabilities powering modern commerce experiences
  • Own end-to-end order lifecycle products, including order processing, fulfillment, inventory visibility, returns, exchanges, and customer service experiences
  • Work with engineering, operations, business stakeholders, and external partners to deliver scalable solutions that improve customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and business performance

Even Better If You Have

  • Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Information Systems, Supply Chain, Computer Science, or related field
  • Experience with IBM Sterling Order Management Systems (OMS), other eCommerce platforms, supply chain systems, or fulfillment technologies
  • Knowledge of order lifecycle management, inventory management, fulfillment, and customer service processes
  • Familiarity working with APIs, integrations, and enterprise software platforms
  • Familiarity with Agile frameworks such as Scrum
  • Experience using product management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms
  • Experience in retail, manufacturing, eCommerce, automotive, consumer products, or logistics industries
  • Passion for exploring innovative technologies, including artificial intelligence and automation, to help build more intelligent, efficient, and customer-centric commerce experiences

Location: Dearborn, MI (hybrid)

Salary: USD 86,600 - 166,200 per year

Minimum Experience: 3 years
