Product Manager
Job Description
WithCoverage is building products that simplify complex operational workflows, and this Product Manager role sits on the R&D team. You will work close to the people doing the work to spot where processes break down, then turn those findings into problem-to-production improvements powered by product, automation, and AI-native approaches.
The work emphasizes clear scoping, measurable outcomes, and fast execution. You will also contribute to maturing product practices as the company evolves from an early scrappy environment toward stronger product discipline without slowing down.
What you’ll do
- Translate operational pain into product and automation improvements by partnering across teams to understand complex workflows, identify bottlenecks and failure modes, and simplify the underlying process.
- Scope problems with clarity by writing product specifications that include explicit requirements, acceptance criteria, edge cases, and measures of success.
- Break down large problems into the smallest useful versions, while recognizing when added complexity no longer provides enough value.
- Own execution from problem to production by driving design and engineering alignment, resolving tradeoffs quickly, keeping projects moving, and ensuring shipped work solves the root problem.
- Build AI-native products by using modern AI tools in day-to-day product work, including prototyping, exploring workflows, interrogating technical systems, and making simple product changes when they are the fastest way to learn.
- Define success metrics before development begins, ensure products are instrumented to measure outcomes, and use the data to decide whether to iterate, expand, or move on.
- Help establish scalable product practices as the company grows, improving process without adding unnecessary bureaucracy.
- Bring strong opinions on what good product development looks like, while adapting them to an environment that values speed.
- Make pragmatic tradeoffs across user needs, implementation complexity, delivery speed, and expected impact, including knowing when a solution is good enough to ship.
What we’re looking for
- 2+ years of product management experience, with likely 5+ years of total professional experience.
- Structured thinking that turns complex and ambiguous workflows into clear problem statements, tractable scope, and concrete acceptance criteria.
- Core product management strength across scoping, prioritization, tradeoff analysis, requirement writing, and cross-functional execution.
- High data fluency, including defining metrics as part of product development and using evidence to decide where to invest.
- Experience building products for complex workflows, ideally in B2B software, internal tools, operations-heavy environments, or other domains where understanding real work matters.
- AI-native working style, using AI to accelerate understanding, prototyping, and collaboration between product and engineering.
Compensation and benefits
- Competitive compensation with equity, plus equity refreshers.
- Comprehensive benefit plans for medical, dental, vision, life, and disability.
- Pre-tax accounts including FSA, HSAs, dependent care FSAs, 401(k), and commuter savings.
- Flexible time off, sick leave, family and medical leave, and major national holidays.
- A curated in-office employee experience designed to foster community, team connections, and innovation.
- Collaborative, transparent, and fun culture.
