Product Manager - ArcGIS Velocity

Esri’s Real-Time GIS team is building products that help customers ingest, analyze, and act on high-volume streaming real-time location intelligence. As the Product Manager for ArcGIS Velocity (onsite in Redlands, CA), you will own the product lifecycle and roadmap for ArcGIS Velocity, partnering closely with customers and cross-functional teams to shape what gets built next and how it is delivered.

In this role, you will translate customer engagement, research, and competitive analysis into clear product priorities. You will collaborate with Product Development on product and release planning, manage launch readiness activities, and align with other Product Managers to ensure consistent workflows, messaging, and integration across the ArcGIS system. You will also work with Product Marketing to support value proposition development, product positioning, go-to-market activities, and release communications.

What you’ll do

• Identify and prioritize customer needs, market opportunities, and industry trends through customer engagement, research, and competitive analysis
• Collaborate with Product Development on product planning, release planning, and feature prioritization based on customer and market requirements
• Own ArcGIS Velocity product lifecycle work, including roadmap planning, release execution, and launch readiness
• Coordinate with other Product Managers to keep workflows, messaging, and integration consistent across the ArcGIS platform
• Partner with Product Marketing on value proposition, product positioning, go-to-market activities, and release communications
• Engage with customers, Professional Services, partners, and internal stakeholders to validate product direction and find ways to expand the value of real-time GIS
• Share product expertise through customer briefings, product demonstrations, webinars, conferences, and industry events
• Support sales, technical support, training, and customer success teams to enable successful product adoption and release readiness

What you bring

• 2+ years of experience in product management or a related role supporting commercial software products
• Experience gathering customer feedback and translating business needs into product requirements and priorities
• Experience with Internet of Things (IoT), streaming data platforms, event processing, or operational analytics systems
• Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, UX, and cross-functional stakeholders across the product lifecycle
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey product vision, requirements, and roadmap priorities
• Ability to build strategic relationships with customers, partners, and internal teams
• Experience presenting product capabilities to customers, partners, or industry audiences
• Willingness to travel 10-20% for customer meetings, conferences, and strategic events
• Bachelor’s degree in GIS, computer science, engineering, information systems, business, or a related field

Helpful background (recommended)

• Master’s degree in GIS, computer science, engineering, business, or a related field
• Experience with GIS, location intelligence, spatial analytics, or geospatial data management
• Industry experience in public safety, utilities, transportation, defense, or fleet operations
• Familiarity with ArcGIS Velocity, ArcGIS GeoEvent Server, ArcGIS Online, or ArcGIS Enterprise
• Experience supporting product launches, customer enablement, pricing initiatives, or go-to-market activities
• Familiarity with Agile product development practices and product management frameworks such as Pragmatic Institute
