Product Manager - Content Solutions
Job Description
AbbVie is looking for a Product Manager to help strengthen content solutions across the entire content life cycle. In this onsite role in Mettawa, IL, you will partner with global teams to shape and activate a content solutions roadmap, while advancing capabilities including AI-powered content review, content deployment improvements, taxonomy refinement, and Veeva Vault enhancements. You will also help ensure teams can deliver faster, integrate more smoothly, and meet applicable compliance expectations.
What you’ll do
- Propose, initiate, and lead programs that continuously improve the technical solutions used in Planning, Review/Approval, Production, Delivery, and Operations.
- Work with the Customer Excellence team and BTS affiliate-focused (Geo) teams to understand business strategies and vision, identify technology needs, and define the Content Solutions roadmap.
- Own key initiatives including Content Review Assistant powered by AI, content deployment improvements, data taxonomy refinement, Vault enhancements, and expanding the use of AI across the content life cycle.
- Coordinate with content operations and digital channels, data and analytics, and data integration teams to drive ongoing content operations improvements.
- Identify current and emerging business needs, evaluate technology solutions and trends, and balance short-term and long-term objectives.
- Leverage existing AbbVie data and technology capabilities and recommend how they can be applied across the content product portfolio.
- Manage a portfolio of products by aligning cross-functionally on scope, benefits, cost, and timeline, and providing visibility to business and technology leadership.
- Develop comprehensive estimates and timelines by gathering input from all impacted stakeholders.
- Collaborate across BTS and business functions to secure resources within a matrixed environment of Product Managers, Architects, and Analysts.
- Ensure systems are architected to create technology synergies and simplified integration, including support for multi-vendor relationships and integrations.
- Adhere to compliance expectations of applicable AbbVie policies and procedures.
What you bring
- PhD with 2 years of experience; or Master’s with 6 years; or Bachelor’s with 7 years.
- Experience managing or coaching vendor resources.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to build trust, listen, and ask effective questions.
- Innovative thinking and an ability to apply experience successfully in an entrepreneurial environment.
- Interest in technology trends and applying technology to improve end-user experience.
- Proven track record of effective project leadership with positive results.
- Ability to independently manage time and priorities.
- Negotiation experience with IT suppliers and vendors.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to engage business leaders in non-IT conversations.
- Ability to work across global time zones.

Compensation and benefits
Salary: USD 109,500 - 208,500 per year.

Preferred
- Experience with Veeva Vault, Veeva CRM, or other content management solutions.
