Product Manager, CRM
Job Description
This Product Manager role owns the vision, execution, and ongoing effectiveness of Insperity’s Enterprise Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. The position partners with Business Units to define product direction, deliver release-ready functionality, and improve CRM-enabled business processes.
Role Overview
The Product Manager, CRM guides the CRM product line strategy and roadmap, develops functional specifications, and manages release activities. The role also ensures customer and quality requirements are addressed throughout design, development, testing, training, and launch, while supporting post-implementation needs from both functional and training perspectives.
Responsibilities
- Provide guiding product vision and act as a business leader for the product.
- Collaborate with Business Units to understand requirements and translate them into appropriate application functionality.
- Lead product line strategy, create product roadmaps, and identify business opportunities.
- Partner with Business Units to improve processes enabled by implemented technologies.
- Develop functional specifications for future releases and represent Business Units in high-level technical design.
- Create User Acceptance Test Plans and facilitate User Acceptance Testing.
- Define, manage, and lead product releases while representing Business Units to help ensure project teams meet defined schedules.
- Ensure customer and quality requirements are satisfied in product delivery.
- Work with Business Units, Project Managers, and development teams through design, development, testing, training, and launch phases of the release cycle.
- Refine the backlog and adjust priorities as needed.
- Evaluate and report on product line performance and usage; lead post-implementation support from functional and training perspectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, MIS, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
- 3 to 5 years of Enterprise CRM technology implementation experience.
- Process improvement or optimization experience is strongly preferred.
- Software development knowledge is a plus.
- HR, Payroll, and Benefits experience is preferred.
- Prior managerial experience, process improvement or optimization experience, and experience in a high-tech environment are preferable.
- Ability to communicate tactfully and effectively, verbally and in writing, while maintaining effective work relationships.
- Strong customer skills and organizational skills, ability to learn new concepts quickly, and ability to work as a self-starter.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Analytical, statistical, and critical thinking skills.
- Leadership skills and ability to work independently, be innovative, and seek new or better methods.
- Positive team player attitude with a sense of urgency focused on successful delivery of project solutions.
- Experience with Enterprise CRM Technology Solutions.
- Knowledge of Business Intelligence technologies and strategies.
- Sound knowledge of system design, development, and effective testing methods.
