Product Manager- Digital Expeience
Job Description
Bass Pro Shops is building connected, customer-focused digital experiences, and the Product Manager, Digital Experience role helps turn customer needs and business priorities into practical product outcomes. This position supports the journey from discovery through implementation, then continues with ongoing optimization across web, mobile, and emerging platforms.
What you’ll do
- Identify and pursue opportunities that create meaningful customer, business, and product outcomes.
- Run continuous product discovery using customer research, analytics, usability insights, session replay tools, competitive benchmarking, stakeholder collaboration, and user testing.
- Convert customer needs, operational challenges, and business goals into actionable digital product opportunities and experience solutions.
- Use AI-assisted tools and modern product methodologies to speed up ideation, workflow creation, concept exploration, documentation, and solution evaluation.
- Facilitate collaborative workshops including journey mapping, workflow definition, feature ideation, and product alignment discussions.
- Maintain balance across customer experience, business value, technical feasibility, operational impact, and scalability throughout the product lifecycle.
- Define product objectives, KPIs, assumptions, success metrics, and feature goals for digital initiatives and enhancements.
- Create experience flows, wireframes, prototypes, mockups, journey maps, and other visual artifacts that communicate interaction behaviors and product direction.
- Leverage established design systems, reusable patterns, and platform standards to support scalable, cohesive digital experiences.
- Develop and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, workflows, functional requirements, annotations, and engineering-supporting implementation artifacts.
- Translate experience direction into clear, developer-ready documentation that supports efficient implementation and delivery quality.
- Use visual artifacts and prototypes to communicate intended user experiences, workflows, edge cases, interaction patterns, and functional expectations.
- Partner closely with engineering, QA, analytics, and business stakeholders to refine solutions and ensure delivery alignment.
- Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, solution reviews, acceptance testing, and implementation alignment activities.
- Monitor product performance, customer behavior, feature adoption, and experience effectiveness to identify optimization opportunities.
- Support ongoing evolution of digital experiences using customer feedback, analytics, experimentation, and changing business priorities.
- Stay current on emerging technologies, AI capabilities, digital commerce trends, and evolving customer expectations to surface innovation opportunities.
- Support improvements to internal product processes, workflows, design system usage, and digital experience practices.
- Contribute to experimentation, continuous improvement, and customer-centered product thinking across digital initiatives.
- Maintain a personal growth plan by learning new skills and staying informed on digital product, customer experience, AI, and ecommerce trends.
- Continuously evaluate and adopt modern tools, workflows, and methodologies to improve discovery, exploration, communication, and delivery effectiveness.
- Strengthen product strategy, customer experience, agile delivery, analytics, and digital solutioning capabilities.
- Share knowledge, tools, workflows, and best practices with teammates to support continuous improvement and operational maturity within the digital experience organization.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, User Experience, Digital Product Design, Marketing, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience in digital product management, customer experience, or digital commerce.
- 3+ years of experience in relevant areas such as digital product management, digital experience strategy, UX/product design, business analysis, ecommerce, customer experience, or related digital solutioning roles.
- Experience working in agile environments supporting customer-facing digital products, ecommerce, mobile applications, or omnichannel initiatives.
- Proven ability to translate customer needs, business objectives, and operational requirements into actionable, implementation-ready digital solutions.
- Experience creating or contributing to user stories, workflows, wireframes, mockups, prototypes, acceptance criteria, functional requirements, or similar delivery documentation.
- Experience using customer research, analytics, usability insights, testing, and experimentation to guide product decisions.
- Cross-functional collaboration experience with product managers, UX designers, developers, analysts, QA, marketers, and business stakeholders.
- Preferred: experience leveraging design systems, reusable components, and established interaction patterns to scale digital experiences.
- Preferred familiarity with tools such as Figma, Jira, Confluence, Miro, FigJam, or similar platforms.
- Preferred familiarity with analytics and insight tools such as Quantum Metric, Adobe Analytics, GA4, Hotjar, or similar platforms.
- Preferred familiarity with AI-assisted workflows and modern tools that support ideation, prototyping, documentation, research synthesis, and delivery enablement.
- Preferred: experience supporting iterative delivery, backlog management, sprint planning, or agile execution.
- Strong product thinking, communication, collaboration, and facilitation skills, including the ability to align teams around product direction.
- Ability to work effectively in ambiguity and drive discovery, solution exploration, and experience definition independently.
- Ability to create clear, implementation-ready artifacts including user stories, workflows, acceptance criteria, mockups, wireframes, prototypes, and functional documentation.
- Familiarity with customer experience principles, design systems, responsive/mobile-first experiences, and usability best practices.
- Comfort utilizing AI-assisted workflows, modern collaboration tools, and emerging technologies to accelerate ideation and delivery enablement.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving skills in agile and iterative development environments.
- Passion for building intuitive digital experiences and solving customer and business problems through technology and innovation.
- Physical requirements: regularly sits and works on a computer; occasionally stands and walks; seldom/never lifts up to 50 lbs.
