Product Manager - Fulfillment Experience and Configuration
Job Description
Target is seeking a Product Manager for the ATP (Available to Promise) team, partnering across product and engineering to improve intelligent digital availability and fulfillment across omni-channel guest experiences. In this role, you will own trusted fulfillment availability capabilities and an internal configuration platform that translates promise through order allocation.
About the role
You will be responsible for ensuring digital guests receive accurate availability and fulfillment information, while building digital capabilities that increase assortment for digital purchase, encourage more store trips, enhance the guest experience, and help minimize fulfillment expenses at scale. You will also steward Target’s internal, business-facing configuration platform, GFC Guest Fulfillment Configurations, which drives the digital order fulfillment logic from promise through allocation.
Responsibilities
- Provide accurate availability and fulfillment information to Target’s digital guests.
- Deliver intelligent digital availability and fulfillment capabilities that maximize digital assortment, influence store trips, improve the digital guest experience, and minimize fulfillment expenses, while meeting the needs of a highly scaled platform.
- Own an internal, business-facing configuration platform (GFC Guest Fulfillment Configurations) that drives digital order fulfillment logic from promise through order allocation.
- Define and evolve trusted, consistent fulfillment availability capabilities across digital and enterprise experiences.
- Translate consumer, business, and operational needs into clear product opportunities, requirements, and scalable integration capabilities.
- Lead discovery and prioritize work based on guest value, business value, operational impact, and technology investment.
- Partner across Product, Engineering, Architecture, UX, Data Science, and Business to improve reliability, resiliency, performance, and scalability, while standardizing how fulfillment information is consumed.
- Drive consumer onboarding, adoption, and migration to reusable enterprise capabilities, reducing reliance on one-time solutions.
- Enable high-visibility events, launches, and new fulfillment capabilities by establishing product and business readiness criteria and success measures.
- Partner with business and operational teams on fulfillment configuration and controls, with a focus on self-service, usability, transparency, and governance.
- Troubleshoot material operational issues with cross-functional partners and coordinate resolution across impacted products and capabilities.
- Maintain product strategies and roadmaps, manage dependencies, and communicate priorities, risks, and tradeoffs to stakeholders and leadership.
- Use quantitative and qualitative insights to evaluate outcomes and continuously improve guest experience, adoption, operational efficiency, and enterprise reliability.
- Collaborate with your product team and key stakeholders to develop plans and business objectives (OKRs) for your product.
Requirements
- Four-year degree or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of product management experience supporting supply chain, fulfillment, or e-commerce capabilities.
- Understanding of fulfillment operations and related business processes is strongly preferred.
- Technical aptitude and strong systems thinking, with the ability to understand how technology capabilities work together to enable guest and business outcomes.
- Experience working in an agile environment and partnering closely with Engineering throughout the product lifecycle.
- Strong written and verbal communication, stakeholder-management, and influencing skills across Product, Digital, Operations, and technology organizations.
- Strong customer empathy and curiosity about the end-to-end guest experience.
- Ability to translate ambiguous business and operational needs into clear product opportunities and requirements.
- Ability to use data, consumer insights, and operational signals to prioritize opportunities and measure outcomes.
- Comfort working with distributed teams, managing cross-product dependencies, and balancing long-term strategy with execution and operational rigor.
Compensation
- USD 88,000 - 158,000 per yearly
Location and work arrangement
- Minneapolis, MN (hybrid)
- This position operates as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs.
- Core role duties will be performed both onsite at Target HQ in Minneapolis, MN and virtually, depending on role, team, and tasks required that day.
- Work duties cannot be performed outside the country of the primary work location unless otherwise prescribed by Target.
