Job Description
The Principal Product Manager at FedEx Dataworks is responsible for driving product and portfolio development through strategy, execution, and data-informed prioritization. This role leads complex new-product initiatives across cross-functional teams and serves as an escalation point for cross-pod dependencies in a matrixed, platform-oriented environment.

- Perform fact-based data analysis and interpretation to identify critical business insights.
- Lead completion of advanced data models and analytics.
- Identify and prioritize new features using market analysis, business case development, and prioritization leadership.
- Lead or execute large, complex new-product development initiatives and other marketing or enterprise programs across large, cross-functional work teams.
- Coach and mentor less senior colleagues.
- Ensure end-to-end user experience coherence across multiple product surfaces, pods, or teams, including consistency where pod roadmaps intersect.
- Partner with engineering leadership to translate platform-level technical constraints into product sequencing decisions.
- Align cross-functional pods and TPM/PM peers without direct reporting authority by resolving competing priorities through influence and structured tradeoff discussions.
- Act as an escalation point for cross-pod dependency conflicts and partner with Product and Engineering leadership to unblock delivery.
- Demonstrate experience operating in a matrixed, pod-based, or platform organization with distributed ownership models.
Required Qualifications
- Working knowledge of API design principles and RESTful or event-driven architecture, sufficient to evaluate technical tradeoffs alongside engineering.
- Ability to read and interpret system architecture diagrams, data flow, and integration points across platform services.
- Familiarity with SaaS and PaaS integration patterns, including partner or vendor platform integrations.
- Seven plus (7+) years of work experience in product management, market analysis or research, or equivalent; superior knowledge of competitive, market, and economic factors affecting product performance and capability to perform fact-based data analysis.
- Expert communication and presentation skills, quantitative capability, and strong problem structuring and solving skills.
- Superior executive presence, human relations, networking, and influencing skills.
