Job Description
Etactics, Inc. is seeking a Product Manager for its SaaS platform in healthcare revenue cycle management, onsite in Hudson, OH.
Responsibilities
- Differentiate and position the product by defining a strategy around capabilities that distinguish us from table-stakes features, grounded in competitive intelligence, customer pain points, and a clear "why us" narrative.
- Deeply understand the small- and mid-practice segment to inform roadmap decisions that address their unique pressures and are distinct from enterprise-focused offerings.
- Assess API integrations and partnership opportunities to extend the platform without fragmentation, collaborating with engineering on interoperability initiatives.
- Prioritize AI-driven workflows that deliver tangible customer value in areas like denials management, eligibility, attachments, and rework loops, owning the product thinking behind these bets.
- Own backlog management in a maturing organization, partner with engineering leadership on sprint clarity and acceptance criteria, and advocate for thoughtful technical debt investment aligned to the roadmap.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of product management experience, ideally in SaaS or healthcare technology. Healthcare EDI, RCM, or clearinghouse experience is a strong plus; if absent, readiness to rapidly learn X12 and payer-provider workflows.
- Track record of shipping differentiated products in competitive markets, with concrete bets and outcomes, including learnings from bets that did not land.
- Comfort contributing in a product organization that is still maturing; able to help define what good looks like without relying on overly heavy frameworks.
- Solid understanding of API-based platforms, integrations, and interoperability; familiarity with FHIR, HL7, or X12 is advantageous, with a willingness to learn what you don’t know.
- Practical judgment on where AI/ML adds product value and where it is unnecessary hype; able to evaluate value beyond demonstrations.
- Clear written communication that supports roadmap rationale, competitive positioning, and partner evaluations.

What success looks like in year one
- The roadmap presents a defensible point of view on Etactics' competitive position, including a credible plan for the 2026–2028 electronic attachments shift.
- Partnerships and integrations move from opportunistic to intentional, with at least one meaningful partnership and live integration.
- Backlog clarity, sprint predictability, and the flow from product to engineering improve against defined metrics in the first 90 days.
- A product organization that balances innovation with disciplined delivery and execution.
Application questions
- Describe a product decision you made to differentiate in a competitive market. What was the bet, what did you prioritize not building, and what was the outcome?
- How do you balance delivering new product capabilities with addressing technical debt that slows delivery? Provide a concrete example.
- Where do you think automation or AI creates real value in revenue cycle workflows, and where is it overhyped?
