Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary product leader and escalation point for the medical oncology solution, coordinating decisions and resolving issues across enterprise leadership, oncology stakeholders, IT teams, and the third-party vendor.
  • Build partnerships across frontline clinicians through executive leadership; establish governance to drive consensus on clinical workflow, product scope, deployment readiness, and prioritization.
  • Demonstrate servant leadership by cultivating a motivating environment, improving performance of others, and creating a positive staff culture through open, honest communication and a clear path to escalate risks and issues.
  • Use facilitation and negotiation skills to enable cooperation and collaboration across ITG and HCA.
  • Drive team cohesion by seeking and incorporating stakeholder input and feedback while diffusing tension.
  • Navigate the HCA environment effectively by anticipating issues and planning the approach with sensitivity to how people and organizations function.
  • Drive workflow standardization, change management, training readiness, adoption, and continuous improvement for medical oncology users across deploying facilities.
  • Ensure solution design and deployment plans incorporate enterprise architecture, security, privacy, clinical safety, integration, data, change-control, and implementation standards.
  • Own program risks, issues, dependencies, and escalation decisions, including vendor performance, integration readiness, clinical workflow gaps, data migration, testing, cutover, and post-go-live stabilization.
  • Manage financial performance for the medical oncology product portfolio, including implementation costs, vendor commitments, resource forecasts, budget-to-actual performance, and value realization.
  • Lead prioritization of product capabilities, interfaces, workflow enhancements, facility deployment waves, and remediation when clinical needs, vendor capacity, timelines, or enterprise resources conflict.
  • Maintain an integrated roadmap and deployment plan with milestones, readiness criteria, KPIs, risks, and executive reporting across build, pilot, rollout, and stabilization phases.
  • Define and monitor success measures for implementation and adoption, including deployment readiness, defect resolution, clinician adoption, workflow performance, support trends, and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Manage all levels of product analysts and developers to execute responsibilities and develop them as leaders of programs and portfolios.
  • Enforce accountability by establishing controls and using department metrics to measure success and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Perform personnel actions including hiring, assignment, reviews, recruitment, and termination.
  • Collaborate with employees to define career development plans, encourage progress tracking, coach and mentor team members, and ensure assignments provide growth opportunities.
  • Ensure regular communication and two-way feedback across ITG, maintaining clarity on work and results.
  • Practice resiliency by coping with stress, pressures, and setbacks productively and positively.
  • Use professional networks to drive team and individual performance, support delivery success, and forge stronger relationships.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Practice and adhere to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement.”
  • Lead end-to-end product execution for the third-party medical oncology solution: design/build, pilot, phased deployment, stabilization, optimization, and lifecycle management.
  • Lead product, analyst, technical, and implementation resources responsible for configuration, integration, testing, deployment, adoption, and support of the medical oncology solution.
  • Define standardized medical oncology workflows and identify opportunities to improve clinician efficiency, patient safety, data quality, automation, and operational performance through the solution.
  • Partner with oncology clinical leaders, pharmacy, nursing, operations, enterprise IT, security, data/integration teams, and the third-party vendor to align scope, sequencing, decisions, dependencies, and delivery.
